Idk if this is BS or not.
BUT..
I'm honestly surprised that the 3G can last this long. 2006 with 246k miles... wow. I guess it's a testament to the reliability of the car.
*Mods feel free to take this down. I just thought it would be something neat to show the other 3G owners.

cool, butt MMADE2's tl was at 200 something before he sold it....the current owner is on acurazine as well.
200,000 miles is not a feat....400,000 will be!
there is also a 2nd gen owner here, who has four hundred something on his TL.

mmade22 had 220,000 miles on his TL before he sold it to another user on here... corsport I think. It probably has about the same mileage as this car by now.
It looks like its been well taken care f, but IMO ten grand is a bit much.

my current job has me doing an annual 40+k miles a year according to the insurance calculation of my commute.
long story short, i'm already looking for other opportunities
is it so weird to have high milage? my first car, a 89 civic had 267k miles before we decided to donate it. I guess since it's relatively new... but i'm sure many TLs when properly maintained will push 200k easy.

Nice... Being that this TL has that many miles I am wondering if it still has an original transmission. I know that someone from the 2nd gen site has over 400,000 miles and replaced his transmission once and he did all his maintenance at the dealership including changing out the ATF every 30k
I can have spurts where I am in the 50K per year range. The sadder part is not the mileage, but that you are in the car for that long.
My 1992 accord, which is most likely a lesser car in every way, was just traded off last year with 400K miles on it. It could have went another 100K or more. It had the original engine, 2nd tranny, original wheel bearings, axles, suspension and most of the original motor mounts.
My goal with both of my TL is 350K miles. I do all of the work myself and these cars are easy to work on. I will rebuild the trannies and engines if I have to. Pretty soon, the junk yards will start to acquire 2004s and 2005s for the picking.

mmade's TL was highly modded, well taken care of and more than worth the money. This one is pretty standard and unmodded. Maybe the pricing could be better.....

Took a 89 Camry to 350 on original engine and clutch.(engine blew) Have a Probe GT with 295 ( 1 junk yard engine + 1 tranny + 1 clutch). Took a Celica GT-S to 257 original engine and transmission (Sold). Expect the 3g to go to 250+ that's why I have two!
What are major things to look out for on these 3G TL's in the long run?? Electronics issues?
I just came from a 2003 TL Type S approaching 200,000 miles on the odometer. Most reliable car I've ever owned. NEVER let me down. The car was still smooth, quiet and powerful...more so than new with my mods as well. With regular maintenance and replacing little aging parts here and there, the only thing that prevented it from being a keeper was that the tranny could go out at any given moment.
I'm assuming the 3G will be the same WITHOUT the recurring tranny problem?
