20MPH Punch Video
I thought I'd take a stab at doing a quick video of the speedo & tach to give folks something to comment on. It's my first attempt at doing something like this so don't flame me . . it took me several attempts to get something reasonable to look at.
Note: Temp was 82deg and 59% humidity, so not what we like for good runs, but it's that time of year. (yeah, dash showed 80, but I checked with Intellicast) I wasn't aiming for a speed, just thru 2nd since that's where I typically shut down on the street . . and it's getting too fast driving with a camera in one and doing the steering, and the other hand gate shifting. And I couldn't see the tach, so I was shifting off of sound and feel . . . and I wasn't even going to attempt a standing start, so comment away . .

Car is fast!
If you get the chance, could you record a 3rd gear pull?

Nice!! Looks really quick. You are definitely in the 13s judging by the speedo alone. Mid 13s at that....

Stop it . . . it's driving me nuts having to wait to get to the track and find out what it'll run. I'll be happy if I can just break into the 13s . . . but mid 13s . . . well, I would be

As you can see I need to do the slave cylinder mod. 2nd gear grabs wayyy after I slam it in there lol.

Well, to give you an idea this is my car now. I was on a slight incline this particular time with like 1 or 2 lines more than 1/2 tank. My 1/4 time is in my sig with only I/Jpipe. This video is with added PCDs/E/Ported IM. I expect mid 13s and your car looks to be as quick if not even slightly quicker than mine. Though I was on a slight incline
But either way, I like the way they both sound . . .

Ah I thought you mean AFTER all those mods. It should be a good bit quicker now. Is your speedo a little slow in terms of MPH? Maybe because of wheel size? 3rd gear ends at or above 90, it seemed like yours ended at just over 85. You're probably going faster than you think

I was just showing my oldest the video (mom's out of the house ) and I hadn't really broke down the video to see where the shift points were. And speaking of getting a few hundred more RPM out of our engines, a couple of things jumped out at me.
1) the shift from 1st to 2nd was - according to the tach - at 7,200rpm and 42mph
2) the shift from 2nd to 3rd was at 7,000rpm and 72mph . . and climbed to 77mph even after I let off the gas
3) my shifts couldn't have been any better . . . but what makes it even more interesting (to me) is that I couldn't see the tach . . because I had the camera in my left hand (and steering with the left hand) and the right hand on the shifter, so I was shifting entirely on sound and feel . . like the good old days. Maybe I should try this at the track and see what it does.
On points 1 & 2 . . okay, redline is 6,900rpm . . so I'm assuming the tach must be off or somehow the rev-limiter was by-passed. However, I know (because I always gate shift) from hitting the rev-limiter that if the tach hits over 7,000rpm it will go off. Now if I can figure out what all took place it would be nice to see what this translates in to at the track.
