2012 Mustang V6 Auto
So one of my brothers has the v6 stang auto, not sure what gearing, but we finally got to race yesterday and I'm pretty happy
We did a few higher end pulls ~60-109 but they werent legit start offs but i would always pull a bit. Then we did a legit 30ish to about 95 maybe and I had about 2 carlegnths and was still pulling. To be honest it surprised me a little but not too much.
At some point this summer when we go home ill break out the go pro and we'll post up some videos for all the naysayers. We'll get some from a dig(which im sure he'll win) and from a bunch of rolls. Ill make sure all of the runs stop at 109/the end of third haha. He was so sure he was gonna win too haha that was priceless Anyway they were just a few friendly runs and Im sorry I couldnt be more specific about the starting/ending speeds. We will without a doubt be racing a lot more so I'll try to get some more info about that and when I pull etc.
Anyway, the summary is you cant us 1/4 mile ETs OR Traps to determine the winner of a race between a FWD and RWD car. At least in my mind it is but I'm sure a few people will disagree.

That isn't for the 2.73 ratio. As that mustang runs low-mid 14's with traps in the high 90's. The 3.31 ratio runs high 13's in stick or auto. Those times are for the coupe as the convertable is slower and heavier. I would bet that your friends mustang is the 3.31 ratio as he would pull on your TL base auto. Great races! Nice to hear you pulled on the stang!

^lol your an idiot
When ever I race and take videos I do it on abandoned rural roads and this race took place on a deserted farm road in Auburn so how about you get out of the Racing forum...

How ironic to call someone an idiot when you still don't know the proper use of "your" & "you're" at 18.

Rick dont derail the thread....this is a casual forum and not an english lecture....
OP....i did run with a 2012 Mustang GT (the V8 version) and he cudnt break away from me....we did only 1 run (from 50mph) and went upto 105-110....
i got a jump on him @50mph when he started reeling me in.....he was dead even by 75-80 mph and started pulling away very very slowing....at 105 i was at his door....
so he got 1/2 car length on me....I was very very very happy and proud of my car after that run....

^^^ nah bro....
well he was on a traveling project....(used to) come from Atlanta to KC every week....for a year....so budget used to keep good cars from him....
always got cadillac SRX ? (the newer smaller SUV)....or the Dodge Challenger R/T () or the Mustang 5.0 V8....cars like those....
i drove around the Challenger R/T and the Mustang V8 (different weeks ofcourse)....but i was coming home with my girl (we work at the same place) and he was riding alongside....lined up at 50mph.....i threw her into 2nd (5AT)....honked 3 times and we were off....i think by time time Mustang downshifted (AT) I was already on my way.....
from a stand still, that car would walk all over mine.....but from a 50 mph roll, coz the mustang was not in the right gear, it was a good race.....had he been in the right gear, he would have had 2-3 cars on me.....
but i tend to overlook that fact and feel happy about my car

This /competition forum on this site is way more entertaining than any other car website that still has a comparable section, keep the good stories/drama coming!
