2008 TL specs inaccurate?
Hi everyone,
My dad drives a 2008 TL, and I'm about to buy my first car. I've been leaning towards the Volvo S80 T6 because I like a larger sedan than the TL. I went over to Vehix for the specs on their interior room and found that these show the TL as bigger inside than the S80 and also bigger than the RL....This was odd, so I picked a car that I figured would be bigger in all interior dimensions, the LS460, and found that the TL was still bigger in several dimesions (front headroom & hiproom, rear shoulderoom). This must be incorrect!

Does anyone have a source for accurate/standard interior dimensions on the third generation TL? Thanks so much for your help!

Straight from the horses mouth:

Also, regards your TL v LS460 comparision:
The LS 460 has a LOT more passenger volume at 103 cu ft v 97 cu ft. 6 cubic feet in the cabin is a bunch. PLUS, TL trunk is 12.5 cu ft v 18 cu ft for the Lexus. Again a HUGE difference - 50% larger.

Thanks, Bearcat94...these numbers are the same as what Vehix has. I also don't believe that the 2008 TL has more front legroom than the BMW 7-series. But this is what the numbers show. What's going on?

Notice the 7 series vs. TL is wider, both in shoulder and hip room and of course has a large backseat.
These numbers however don't always tell the whole story. Some cars have large seats that will make a vehicle 'feel' more cramped than they really are.

An individual difference here or there doesn't mean much. Total cabin volume (plus trunk capacity) tells the real interior size difference.
