2008 NBP, Mod list...

New to the forums, been creepin' on here for a while though. I got a 2008 TL NBP with black interior (no navi) with 37, xxx miles on it now and I LOVE IT.

Camera phone is all I've got, sorry.

Those are some pics after a wash, I have a 12" Alpine Type R in a ported enclosure with a 500 Watt Alpine amp.

List of mods (don't know what order to do them in!)

1) Fujita? CAI
2) Tint tail lights
3) Dynamat the trunk
4) Paint rims gunmetal?

Not sure what else, I want to clear out the headlights and put in CCFL's but I'm afraid to do it and/or spend that much money to have JnC do it for me. I don't know, let me know what you guys think of the new ride though. Take it easy

The headlight mod is easy.. Just takes a lot of time/patience. I'd say if you're going more for performance do a j-pipe or the CAI. IMO I wouldn't paint your stockies gunmetal on a NBP. Welcome to AZ!

I had a 12" Alpine Type-R with a JL 500/1 in my TL for about a year or so. I took it out to gain more trunk space but I miss it.

It sounds like you have some good plans for the car. I have a K&N CAI that I have no complaints about. Most members here choose to get the AEM V2 CAI.

Tinting your tails would look good. I'm assuming you would want to just cover up the red pieces and then leave the white parts alone?

Does your trunk rattle that much? Mine didn't whatsoever.

And like Smokd05 said, I wouldn't paint the wheels gunmetal. Keep them the way they are and put that money towards another part of the car. Maybe replace the interior lights with all LEDs?

Yeah today I was thinking the same thing about leaving the stock rims. The rattle is in the back right side of the car coming from the rear deck its not bad but in some songs it more noticeable than others. I think dynamat isnt necessary but everyone seems to say it sounds a lot better regardless so why not. And yeah I want to tint the tails i was looking at stickercity.com and lamin-x.com and lamin-x has precut ones while sticker city has the sheets, would it matter which I got? I was leaning towards lamin-x cause they have side marker tints too. Either way, i was going to take it to a tint shop to get it put on i dont want to mess it up so I guess I could ask them to do it? And also, I've been looking through CAI threads and it seems taking offf the front bumper is common, can you install without removing the bumper? I think my friend said he put his K&N in his 325i in without removing his bumper and same with my friends mazda3. Thanks guys
