when..

... do we typically find out more clear information on what the next model will include? Do we have to wait until the first unit arrives at a dealer? Or is there some sort of information released to the public a month before etc?

Surely someone would know by now..

I was at Acura of Boston to look into upgrading my 04 to an 07 TL-S, but they only had one on the lot that was a 6 Speed. I don't like the "boy racer blue" they have dubbed Kinetic. They have 4 more TL-S coming in, but not until July and no one (other dealers) are swapping out the TL-S's.
In terms of the 08s, I was told that the TL-S would be essentially the same seeing it was new this year. In terms of the standard TL, I was told that eveyone is being tight lipped and they haven't gotten any updates from corporate. Now if the TL-S isn't changing, would it be fair to assume that the standard TL isn't going to change much??

Guys this is not a thread to complain about the problems you have so far.

Its for the 08 TL. If you have nothing to add or say about the 08 then dont post.

If you have a problem with your 07 and you want to truly find some info on how to fix it then post up in Problems and Fixes.

Dont just come in here and tell us whats wrong with your 07.

WOW. My 07 TL-S is 8 months old, 6700 miles and NO problems at all. NONE

ok, the 08 TLs are on the Acura website, and to our expectations, absolutely no change whatsoever...

You might want to take another look at that website. They have added some new colors and gotten rid of some. There are 2 new colors: Polished metal metallic and Bold beige metallic OR they just changed the names of Carbon gray pearl and desert mist metallic I guess we will just have to wait and see when they appear on the lots. The color representation on the website never looks the same when you see it in person anyway.

sorry, I was only looking at the type s part.
I might still get a 07 when I take the plunge next month if they still have the kbp on the lot, but maybe they fixed some rattling issues with the 08 type S. Or if they give me a killer deal. But I will probably still end up with a 08 type s.

Yes, but if Acura screws up the styling of the 4G, it may not that bad.

I just went to my Acura dealer today for an oil change and chatted up with a salesman. He says the 08 models will be coming in early and that for 08, there will be a TSX coupe (I'm assuming he meant the 09 TSX that's coming in late 08). The 08 TL will be exactly the same, he says. I guess that kind of confirms why on acura.com that there's no changes to the 08 TL.

I've been in talks with a Chicago land dealer regarding the 07 TL-S. I was going to lease it but the July residuals and money factors aren't giving me good lease numbers, even with the $1,500 customer cash.

Anyways, he says that he already started getting in the 08 TL and the first 08 TL-S is scheduled to arrive "late next week."

I went to my local Acura dealership today to test drive the TL and asked the salesman about the 08. He claims the 08 won't be out until the fall. Well, if that's the case why would the Acura website already have the 08 model listed? Maybe the sales guy was just trying to BS me to sell the 07's.....

Yep, our dealer here said a TSX coupe is coming. And based on the early Acura web-site posting of the 08 TSX and TL, this supports rumors that the 09 TSX will be out during 2nd qtr of 08 and 09 TL will follow in the 3rd qtr…

If I was (and I was) looking at an 07/08 TSX/TL, I would wait (if you have wheels now) tell spy shots etc…hit and then buy 08 if you do not like what you see…

It appears to be fairly certain that the 09 TSX and TL will have more H/P & torque along with SH-AWD, audio should equal the G etc…just depends if you like the new looks and price…and of course the new Honda Coupe/4dr is always an alternative if all else fails…???? But if you want a TL now the 08 should be here right after you see the 08 TSX hit which it has in some areas...

Which G are you talking about, G35 or G37? Anyway, what's the scoop on that audio system?

ReD-BaRon, the audio was deductive reasoning or a wag and not based on printed info….figured the 09 TL would have to move up to something like the G-35 with song storage etc and have to improve the sound. The cassette will surely go along with the DVD-audio??? But Heck I am low tech and would be happy with a 6-CD changer that had full random between all 6 CDs like the Infiniti has now…
