I have an '08 Acura TL base with 50k miles. I have does the 3 trans switches, atf d4 and filter change. I've done all the maintenance work on this car. She runs so smooth and nice.

My question is what's this air hissing noise at :32?? It has always done this when I power off the engine...

 

Also what do you guys think of my valve-train? Is it too loud? ie clicking

 

my TL sounds like it passes gas too when i shut it off I'm sure it's normal.

perhaps air being sucked with the residual piston movement in to a closed/closing throttle body from turning it off or some vacuum being released somewhere. Just throwing guesses out there.

 

All my cars have done this. But I think its very prominent when you have an aftermarket intake. No worries though.

 

By the way, this my car is 100% completely stock.

my TL-s does that as well, but its from the cold air intake. Perfectly normal sound.

its normal. just the sound the air intake makes when the car get shut off... also valve sound is normal too... thats the way our Tl's sound

 

Sounds just like mine. Everything is ok!

 

I got worried today when I heard the same sound in my TL during shutdown. After doing some searching on Acurazine - its good to know its normal!

its funny how everyone says its normal when you have an aftermarket intake, but in post #5, OP clearly said the car is stock lol. the car only does this with aftermarket intakes and stock should be very quiet. perhaps he doesnt have the air intake resonator box behind the bumper(this would give it half the sound of a cold air intake)

 

don't we already has CAI from factory?

 

 

Did you check the headlight fluid level?

 

You mean intake fluid. Its right next to the vtec fluid.

 

Oh yes thanks for the correction. Make sure there are no air bubbles in the line. If it is not properly bled it can sometimes cause a blow off on shut down.
