2007 TL Type S rims jacked

I parked the car at home, next morning I walk out to my car only to see it on cinder blocks with the 4 tires and rims stolen. Oh, and I bought the car 3 weeks ago. Common thing I'm guessing? These guys scout to look for nice cars or something?

Blocks? At least they didn't slam it down on your rotors. They saved you another $1,000.

Actually, it looks like they still managed to put it down on the front rotors.
And pretty sure the jerks only put the brick to take back their jack...I'm sure it's a decent one that'll raise/lower the car fast.

Sorry to see that, hope insurance gets you back rolling again soon!

I hope someday those thieves have a jack slip and come down on them.

I don't see why anyone would want those ugly waffle rims in the first place. Hopefully your insurance will cover it though. G/L.

Thieves suck. Once caught, they should have a hand cut off. Next offense, the other hand.

Yeah, same happened to me few days ago. I left my G37 at work in-door parking lot for one night due to the huge snowstorm and I didn't want to drive home. Police called me 6AM next morning telling me all four of my wheels are gone, and my car was sitting on a jack and a brick with rear right rotor on the floor. Those were 19 inch sport wheels with only 1200 miles on them. Good thing my insurance took care of it, and I should pick her up next week.

What can I say? There is a lot of low-life around, just don't let me catch them because they will get it from me.

Nope, the body is fine, the marker is crooked because the car is on an angle since the jerks put two cinder blocks towards the front.

Insurance will cover this. But still...what had my blood boiling is that I was heading off to work, the same job that I work hard at 5 days a week, to find that scumbags who probably never lifted a finger or have much of a brain or education did me dirty like this. Can't wait till they get whats coming to them.

At least it was just your wheels that were stolen, my whole TL was jacked while I was in a restaurant.

Karma's a bitch and trust me, the bastards that did this will get theirs. Do you have a garage? If so, get that car inside ASAP. I never leave my car outside overnight.

On a similar note, I've heard that wheels are a very common theft item from the Fit Sport. Why, you might ask? The lug pattern fits the CRX, Civic, and Integra.

Am I more likely to have the stock rims stolen again than if I bought some aftermarket rims? I actually kinda liked the stock rims, but don't want to get them again if there is a higher probability to them get stolen again.

I am putting on two different sets of wheel locks on each wheel... though doesn't prevent theft 100%, at least would deter those low-life a little bit.

You guys recommend Gorilla wheel locks for type s stock rims (what insurance will replace them with)? I'm thinking about getting 20 and replacing all lug nuts with them. 20 pack on amazon comes in black only, should still look good on gunmetal rims no?

Also, how much would a very good security system run me?

Damn, that sucks.

I'm going to move this to the TL forum so you can connect with other TL owners regarding security options and how they're protecting their TL's...
