2007 TL type-s pics

A friend of mine that works at the Honda corporate office just came back from an employees only convention in Seattle last week. He sent me these pics of the new type-s. Some key notes from the presentation, which has already been known here...

Type S model comes fully loaded with......

front/back kit
fog lights
small spoiler
modified backlights
reversing camera
real time traffic
phonebook transfer from cell
all wheel drive
one touch start up
286 hp

release is Nov 2006

why does it have a-spec wheel of before the refresh models?

so do you guys think that fron and rear are the lips over the bumpers like current a-spec?
i actually like these pictures than the ones that were out from acura.com or other megazines...

good pics. my friend was telling me about that new rear spoiler. I wonder if it will be available. I'll have to admit, it looks much better than the earlier pics.

looks damn nice. If I hadn't needed a car in May I would've definately considered this car. I still think it's best to wait for the redesign though.

The Type S is still going to come with the ugly grey 17" we seen. The a-spec wheels is just an option and also the body kit is optional as well in this pic

That front grill looks huge in these pics!!!

well if all that os optional the what is the point of type S - 28hp?
that body kit has to be standard on acura web it kindoff says it is and if not then what are they goin to ask us to pay extra for all those things?

so who will buy a 50k tl ?

Maybe i'm seeing things, but doesn't this TL look similar to one already with a (front) Ron Jon kit? lol It's nice though, I like Now, the ONLY way I'll buy this car is if RIPP comes out with the 100whp supercharger I've been hearing about from previous threads. Now that... would be some shit.

looks to me like that may be a TL type S A-Spec. it has a body kit we havent seen before along with the current a-spec wheels.

does that grille look bigger to anyone else but me?

No the body kit isnt standard. Look at the pics on the site again and notice that the bumpers are different than the base TL so it sets them apart on the exterior. The body kit is a add on option

The front add on lip is pretty neat looking. Maybe it will be an option for the Type S or even standard.

AWD?! i doubt it though, but you never know.

I agree with whatjones911 about the a-spec being an add-on and not the standard as aucra.com has picture of standard type-s without the lips. So, A-spec includes kit and the wheel?? That's about 4k or so. 43k for TL Type-S A-spec. I like the pictures, but not the price of it.

One thing I noticed is that the A-spec removes the chrome line in between the foglights.

Look at how shiny the grill is (black chrome).

I thought the new RL was 300HP AWD? Where are those missing 14 caballos?

i told you guys they look on here. i was talking about why they leaked the photos early on the main 07 thread and people were doggin me when i said that its a way for acura to see people's reactions and do some last minute fixes..... i was talking primarily about the rims. the front lip looks better too

You can kill me if it really does come out with AWD.. but I really doubt it... c'mon.. this is a refresh, and not a new model... They may do it for next gen... not this one...

Theres no way they're going to make it AWD w/ this model....

If so, why would they decrease the power from the RL engine? To reduce power going to the FRONT wheels

If it was in fact AWD, I think they wouldve kept it at 300hp, or even increased it a little to make up for the hit awd takes.
