2007 TL Type-S or 2007 G35?

I'm not sure if this has been answered before, but I wanted ppl's opinion.

I'm in the process of purchasing the 2007 TL Type-S, black/ebony/silver. I signed the papers, and I just waiting for the dealer to locate my color.

While waiting, I've been reading this firum, and reading reviews for other cars. I noticed that there are a few ppl complaining about the torque steer/ fwd bla bla... Then I priced the 2007 G35x, and the price is about the same as the TL. Maybe it's because I'm waiting on the Tl, but I'm having second thoughts. I live in NYC, and the AWD would be nice in the winter. I also like the fact that the G35 is RWD/AWD.

Has anyone test driven the new 2007 G35 before purchasing the TL Type-S?

What was your thoughts about the two cars?

I was also looking at the IS350, but that car cost more with comparable features.

Thanks.

Yup I test drove the 07 G35 and wasn't impressed and being that the loaded G35x was 40k (List...not much haggle room) didn't help any either...go with the TL you wont be disappointed

Thank you for the quick reply.

I think I might be having second thoughts because I'm waiting. LOL.

Well, the TL Type-S MSRP is about $39000, which is only a difference of $1000 compaired to the G35x. I thought that I might be able to get it for around $37000. I signed for the TL at $36000. I know some ppl got it for around $35000, but the dealer was giving me a hard time because they didn't have my color in stock. They tried to sell me a color that I didn't want for less, but I'm set on the black

More input/opinion is appreciated.

Yeah you can definately get the TL-S for 35-36k...I was at Ray Catena Infiniti in Edison and on the fully loaded G35x they were only willing to do $500. Also the interior on the G didn't impress me at all, sure the car has power but it also needs to feel and look just as great on the inside.

The TL (3G) is in its 4rd model year of production and you rest easy knowing that all the first year issues have been taken care of and that you have a pretty solid car...and regarding color choice I agree with you 100%, wouldn't have it any other way than Black with the Black-Silver interior

Cool. I think I'll just go with the TL Type-S.

Should I try to get the price down $500 more? I'm purchasing in Westchester. I wonder if I should buy in NJ

Thanks for your input.
