It's from Sunnyvale Acura, but I can't provide the person who give me the quote~
I really think this deal is a bit fishy, that's why i post here first to see anybody got the same quote and got the car.

Interesting that they mispelled Acura in the line below the quote...

It looks very suspicious since in has even more misspelled words, like “taxies” for taxes and “sence” for sense. To quote this ad, “it just doesn’t make SENCE!”

I missed the "Acure" one.

They also misspelled "taxes" as "taxies". Something doesn't seem right.

That's weird, every dealer I've ever bought a car from wanted me to refer customers to them.

Hold back is not profit, hold back covers the costs of operating a dealership. If you think a dealer can keep it's doors open buy selling cars at invoice, you're being naive.

Dealers need heat in the winter and air conditioning in the summer.
Dealers need to have lights on in the dealership.
Dealers need telephones.
Dealers need an internet connection.

Even at $100 over invoice, the dealer is losing money.

Hold back is to cover these costs as well as the finance charges due to financing cars on a floor plan.

And according to EVERY dealership I have EVER dealt with, they need to make at least $5,000 on the deal, plus the holdback, plus any incentives or they're going to go out of business. That's pure and simple bullshit.

I'd respect dealerships needing to make a profit if they were even slightly reasonable about it, but I've bought many, many cars from many, many dealers and I haven't found one who will be reasonable without a big fight yet. I even had a salesman tell me that he was going to sell me an 05 Accord EX-V6 at $28k and he couldn't go any lower. It didn't have a spoiler, it didn't have navi, it didn't so much as have a pin-stripe. He told me the 03 Accord EX-V6 I was trading, with 27k miles, could not be certified because it's bumper was scuffed and repaired. I went elsewhere and they gave me more for my trade-in, later certified it, and gave me the car I wanted for $25,200 with a spoiler OTD.

Please.. car dealerships aren't hurting for money. If they make $500 off of my deal they'll be fine because some idiot before me let them make $7,000 off him.

As you guys point out, i think he use this kinda quote to attract customer to come to their dealership, then, even the customer print out this "quote" to get the deal. they can simply said it's fake, just like the place you guy point out. dealers really not suppose to misspell so much word in their internet quote. and the MSRP is sure not true by any means. Ah~sunnyvale, i think i'll better pass. really don't want to draw my self into some dealer mess

Just for kicks I emailed Sunnyvale Acura (even though I am 2000 miles away :-)

I asked for him to break down all the charges, and confirm if that price included the destination charge.

Here is their reply:

Thanks for selecting Sunnyvale Acura for your new Vehicle purchase. it is a pleasure hearing from you today. As requested, I have attached the current pricing on your new 2007 Acura TL 4dr Sedan w/Navigation (3.2L 6cyl 5A).

MSRP: $34,295.00
Your New Internet Price Quote: $31,847.00

The above price includes destination charges. Because market conditions change so rapidly, I can only guarantee this price through the close of business this Monday or within 7 days of this email.

* Special sales pricing must be from instock inventory at the dealership, Internet low Pricing can only be redeemed from an Internet Manager.

Sunnyvale dealer called and said their price was a mistake (duh!) should be $34123 + TTL. Guy had his invoice price all screwed up.

huh~how interesting~i also just got a reply from the sunnyvale dealer said the price is correct, and the $36k is for manual tranny~which is really BS~since there are no manual on the 07 base TL. and he confirm again is an 2007 Acura TL 5-speed auto tranny w/ navi. arrrrrr~i really think he is doing the mind trick~i really think that's the 06 TL, since 06 has manual

07 TL with NAV for invoice with a bunch of goodies, are you kiddin me??I don't know how you guys can get invoice price by just talking with them on the phone or e-mail them on an 07 TL . I have bought 5 new cars in the past 6 years and I have to fight with them, walk out the door ,or sit there couple of hours to negotiate to get at or near invoice price. We talking Acura here and it's an 07 not an 06 clearance ,if this is a Ford or Buick forum then it's a diffrent story

Getting a good deal on a car isn't hard. You just need to know what you're doing. I was offered a 2007 Infiniti G35 sedan (any model, any configuration) for $400 over invoice plus free accessories two or three weeks after the car came out. I helped a couple of people on G35 Driver get the same deal. Anything is possible. I got my 2005 Acura TL w/ Navigation System for invoice plus free accessories and I'll be getting a 2007 Acura TL w/ Navigation System for invoice plus free accessories.

Well I don't know about in Florida but the San Jose / San Francisco market is very competitve. The quotes I have been getting just over the internet are close to invoice at most of the dealers here. Just within a 30-40 mile radius from where I live, I can think of at least 8 dealerships here. Serramonte, Marin, Burlingame, Sunnyvale, Stevens Creek, Los Gatos, Concord, Pleasonton. They will fight for your business here.

VERY POSSIBLE for close to invoice and any one else in the market from the Bay Area can vouch for that.

I think it must be Florida, last months I went to the Lexus Dealer to look at the IS350 for my wife asking them to sell it for $1000 above invoice and the saleman look at me like I'm crazy Mofo, so I left and they never call back and 3 other dealer I have talk on the phone with don't wanna deal with me because my price are too far with their price to sell, and I have 4 lexus dealer within a 60 miles radius. I think people down here are willing to pay toward MSRP price and not the othe way around that's why they don't care .

Maybe it's your approach. Deal directly w/ the ISM and send out emails to all the Lexus dealers in Florida as opposed to just walking in expecting to get a great deal.

As far as Acura dealers in Florida are concerned, the best dealers that I found when I bought my 05 TL were Acura of South Florida, Sarasota and Acura of Orange Park in Jacksonville. None of the other dealers would come close to the offers/quotes I was receiving from these 3 dealers.

I bought my 05 TL for $32,5xx including the destination. There are deals to be had in Florida.

I got my 07 TL w/navi for $34,244. Dealer included wheel locks, mudguards, floormats (not sure if these are standard). Someone said I paid too much for it, but I basically had 2 dealers lowering prices against each other and then my mechanic (who works for honda) referrred me to one of his salesman colleagues and he said he couldn't go any lower considering he would be giving me the extras. He also gave me more money for my trade in MINI, better than what carmax offered. My dad worked for Honda Japan for over 30+years and even Honda corporate couldn't match the APR special for "super preferred customers". 3.9% APR was a little too good to pass up...

I just wanted to thank Acurazine and especially SLICK.

I purchased my 07 TL w/Navi WDP today.
Got it in SC for $200 over your deal. At first they said that deal was crazy. Invoice + Dest. + $200 (which about equalled gas back from Jersey where I'll be for Christmas next week) and they also threw in Wheel locks, trunk tray, and all season mats. I could have fought for $100 or $200 off, but felt good enough. Thanks for all your help. Can't wait to start learning all the navi, voice commands, and bluetooth features.

Hey guys... Newb here. Just ditched my Tahoe to pick up my '06 AM TL.

During the process, I was looking at a few different makes and models and you'd be surprised at how poorly ISM's represent their dealers around here! I'm talking misspelling, no punctuation, bad grammar, etc. Even one of the local Acura dealers had a guy like this! It was sad.

I got these quotes

35650+fees for a 2007 TL Type-S with Navi
33650+fees for a 2007 TL with Navi

For a 2006 TL with navi and Manual..Im looking at 33100 to 33300 OTD...

When you say +fees.......Are you also talking about destination charges, or are those included in the price of $33,650 for the base model.

The best I have found for an 07 base TL WITH Nav

$34,000.00 OUT THE DOOR (not including TT&L) with the following:
Destination charges
Trunk Tray
Wheel Locks
Splash Guards
All Season Floor Mats
Cargo Netting inthe trunk ( not sure if this is normally included)
Body Side Moldings (not sure I want these yet)
Full tank of Premium Gasoline
All other document and other fees included
Less than 20 Miles on the odometer.

I am paying the TT&L in cash

How does this sound?

not yet, maybe in the new year. My only question is should I get the WDP or CGP. The CBP is a little too brown for me. I saw the CGP a couple of times, once on the highway and once at Springfield Acura last month. It was a nice dark blue-gray color.

Does anyone have an example of an email you would send to the dealers? If not exactly sure what I should be asking from them besides the price. I just want to be sure I am wording the letter correctly so that they won't hide other fees in their price.

In case it is needed, I am interested in getting a 2007 TL w/nav (with the aspec body kit and suspension or should i get these things seperately off ebay?)

Let them know that you know the MSRP, invoice, dealer holdback, and true dealer's cost. Also, list the prices for the exact car that you want. Let them know that you've requested a quote from several other dealers and you'll buy from whoever offers you the best deal w/o playing any games. Also, say that you're ready to buy and you don't want to waste their time and you hope that they don't want to waste your time. Then you'll get some price quotes and now you can start pitting the dealers against one another. Good luck.

Not bad. $377 are split between the trunk tray, wheel locks, splash guards, all-season floor mats, documentation fees, and the body side moldings. The trunk cargo net and the full tank of premium gasoline should be included with the TL standard. Also, the 20 miles on the odometer lead me to believe that the TL was test driven. You should have less than 10 miles on a new car (usually around 5). In the end, I think you could try to go $200-$300 lower.

I was able to get 1200 off MSRP on '07 Type S, so they are willing to deal. I paid cash and traded in my vette.

I was trying to see what people are getting in Mass in another thread. I was given a price of $1500 off MSRP ($37,295) for the 07 Types S manual, but not invoice. It probably depends on the sales in your area and how aggressive they're being to meet their numbers for December.

It also seems the 6-speed manual is harder to come by. They aren't being as generous with the price because the quantity is lower in my area.
