2007 Acura TL Type S - A Spec conversion

Hey guys,
I just bought a 2007 Acura TL Type S and am already thinking about converting it into an A Spec, sort of making it a Type S A Spec. Would any of you guys know how to ? I'm completely new to the modification world but am very keen to get this going.
Also, could any of you highlight what I'll need and what the differences are between the type s and a spec ?

Thanks

1st - Welcome to the forum and gratz

2nd - Search function is your friend

3rd - There are vendors (i.e. AckTL05) here where you can acquire the whole kit (its cheaper that way) and the instructions can be found on this forum too. There is a link on close to the top righ hand corner "Vendor" if you are looking for modifications and such.

4th - The difference in them is that the A-Spec was purposely design for aerodynamics (it looks more aggressive)

first, there's only one kit for your car.
its called the type-s aspec kit.

it will bolt right up to your type-s bumpers.

here's where it gets tricky.
if you like the look of the other aspec kits, you can get a body shop to modify them to bolt directly on to your type-s.

Op since you are noob at modifying; I would suggest that a professional install it if you are picky on this. However, it is not that difficult to do and I am a noob when it comes to body work but I still install my kit. I got my instructions from the dealer and if you are willing, I say go for it.

^no, he isnt the only vendor but he is one of the cheapest.
i think with acktl05, its like ~$750ish.
i'm not sure the exact price.

the best way is to PM him and ASK him

got mine from Tim as well and couldn't be happier.

I had the stealership install mine for just shy of 300 bucks. I'm not into doing any sort of body work - too afraid that I will misalign something.

So if you have it installed somewhere, 300 would be the most you should pay.

Thanks

My Acura dealer quoted me little over $700 to install the A-Spec body kit. So, I guess $300 is a great deal.

Hopefully you don't have an ASM (silver) type s. I think most of those parts are now discontinued. Good luck! It is absolutely worth it, car looks so much better with the kit. My progress thread in the photography section has pictures, along with many others in that section. It's a great place to get ideas from.

I also just picked up a nbp tl-s and am looking to do the aspec kit as well to go with my aspec rims. I've searched for pictures and can't seem to find a nbp tl-s with aspec kit. Anyone have a picture of that exact combo? I like the aspec look alot on the silver tls because you can see the body lines so much better than the black

If you have a base TL and want to put in the TL-S Aspec front would you need to change the front bumper to the Type-S bumper?

there is more than one way to skin a cat.
the easiest, but most expensive way to get the type-s aspec front, would be to change out to the type-s front bumper.
but then you would need all the grill pieces for the type-s bumper.

another option would be to go to a body shop to see if they could mold/fabricate the type-s aspec kit to the base bumper.
