2007-2008 How do you remove OEM DRL Bulbs?
Searched and searched, couldn't find the answer. I tried taking it out by hand but I can't tell if it's screwed into place or if it's just really hard to twist out.
The reason why I assumed it's screwed in place is because I was feeling around the area of the bulb and I felt a rubber grommet as well as some screws. I don't know if the screws are what's holding in the DRL bulbs so I figured I'd come on here and ask someone that has done it before.
Do you have to take the bumper off? Do you have to remove the headlight? Is the bulb capable of being swapped by just reaching your arm into it with the engine covers out the way?
I'm really having a hard time un screwing it for some reason...

Im pretty sure you have to take the bumper off. There is a vid online i think of an 08 showing how to take it off. It doesnt seem to hard just a bunch of those black clips and a few bolts. What you replacing them with? or are they just burnt out?

I just twisted it......counter clock or clock. I forget. On the driver side you have to remove battery. I just took them out since I use my fogs as DRL.
I have no idea what the guy above me is talking about. Its very simple twist and turn. No bolts or screws.

if the bulbs were never taken off before than thats the case...
you dont have to take off battery or bumper off, if you still have oem intake than have to unclip that plastic cover that covers the intake resonator pipe by the battery thats all
I changed about 4 different tl drl bulbs to leds and they all did the same thing, if its sorta seized up in there after being installed by the factory, all you gotta do is apply force and twist, they come out just like any regular halogen bulb, there is NO screw holding them just the plastic twist in 3 hole bracket.... its also a pain in the A$$ to install new bulbs back

If I remember. There actually is a screw holding them in place. There is a metal bracket the holds the bulb in place and a screw to tighten the metal braket once the bulbs are in to make sure the bulb is secure and sturdy.
You can see the two screws at the 8 oclock, and 5 oclock position. Mine were pretty tight when I tried to remove my DRL lights, so I had to loosen them to take out the bulb.

Thanks all. I managed to remove my passenger side DRL by just reaching my arm down there and twisting it really hard.
No need to remove the headlights or screws, just turn it counter-clockwise REAL HARD.
Drivers side was a PITA to get out, and even more a PITA to put back in. Had to pull out the pliers just to remove it. As stated above, you will need to move your battery out the way to be able to have room for your arm to actually work the bulb out of the socket. After I removed the bulb, trying to put the drivers side back in took a good 10-15 minutes. It was hard as hell trying to twist it to lock it back into place due to the awkward arm position and angle. I managed to get it to twist BARELY, but just enough to hold the bulb securely in place. I know it can twist alot more to fully lock in, but wasn't worth the hassle.
Sadly, I bought some inexpensive LEDs off eBay from China because someone on here said they were able to run them on their Type-S for a few months now directly plug and play with no "DRL" error.
When I installed mines neither of the LED lit up and I got the DRL light also. Oh well... It was only about $15, it was worth a shot. I guess i'll save up to spend $60 on a drl kit with a relay later on

Well that's odd.... cause mines came out by just twisting it really hard lol.
IDK why. I'm glad I didn't go through the hassle of taking everything apart just to test out 2 LEDs that weren't gonna work anyways. I would have been pissed
