Looks like Takata is again expanding the airbag recall. In the latest explanation it appears that excessive heat causes the chemicals inside to deteriorate. My vehicle has been exposed to hot summers to the point my dash developed the lovely cracks. I am actually worried my passager air bag could be a real problem. Does anyone know if our airbags are the chemical ones produced by Takata or are they made by another manufacturer for 2006?
