2006 TL with 10,000 km

That is basically a new car, so my official response would be no. If the car was 20 years old, you might consider it since rubber can age, but at that mileage and 9 year timeframe, I'd just drive on and enjoy it.

Very nice score- it's amazing someone paid full value for the car when new and really never used it. Nicely done! Mine has nearly 110K miles on it and literally runs like new, so you're in a very good position. Best of luck with it.

wow 6k miles! That's great.
I wouldn't do the TB belt.
Congrats and Welcome to AcuraZine.
Let's see some pics of this garage queen

Okay, I'll need to see some pictures, or it didn't happen. 6250 miles? WOW
Have you changed the oil? I'm assuming he hasn't touched any of the fluids either. Make sure to inspect ATF, Brake Fluid, Coolant, Power Steering.
But congrats; you'll need to provide a picture to complete your thread

^+1 on the fluids.
A lot of our American friends forget how harsh our climate can be. Humidity and temperature ranges play a role on how fast a timing belt deteriorates. If you know the previous owner(s) kept the car in a heated garage, the belt isn't as big as an issue. If the car's outside all winter, it would depend on your location (Windsor and deep northern ON have very different climates).
That said, the TL should have a maintenance reminder system that accounts for these parameters. If you don't have the maintenance reminder system, the default is 176k km in normal driving conditions, 100k km if the car sees temps colder than -29 degrees C, or 84 months, whatever comes first.

The car was stored indoors, heated or not is a good question.

Full fluid flush for sure
ESPECIALLY the Brake fluid. The maintenance on brake fluid is 3 years regardless of miles due to it being hygroscopic.
Nice find OP, you'll have some good times with it! Just maintain it.

I did the engine oil the first day with synthetic and a day later one transmission fluid change. Haven't done the brake fluid or power steering fluids yet. Changed the air filter and will do the cabin filter shortly. In respect to the timing belt, it was never winter driven and stored in a garage although not heated in southwest Ontario.
Here'e some pics. It just rained the whole night although I washed it the day before. Bunk. Lol.

Wow, did you ever ask the owner why he never drove it? Bought it just because?
6300 miles! That's amazing....brand new car for 1/3 of the price .
Just putting this out there, but could there be a chance the odometer was messed with? Or no?

The mileage is legit. I did a carproof on it and if you could see it you can tell it's hardly been driven. It even smells like new car still. The leather on the steering wheel is like new, the engine looks brand new.

Agree- that is a rare combo...blue with the black interior. The only thing I do not like about it are the gold emblems. Otherwise, it is a gem.

That is a great score on a low mileage TL. Good luck with it!
On a related note, throwing this out there if anyone is interested near NY. I saw this the day it was posted. Would have gone out to LI the next morning to see it and probably buy it if I didn't have my KBP 6MT. It's an auto but the owner is 76. Very nice gentleman and all checks out on carfax. He just brought it the dealer every year for oil changes. Never driven in snow and garaged. Tried to talk my brother into buying it but he can't at this time. Diamond in the rough..

Like what? The 3 oil changes you've done over the course of 12,700 miles? Great price for a clean car though!

Yeah..true in a sense.. He is 76 years old though and the car all lines up to be a great find. Other than confirming it in person, if it is as described, it is the type of car you want to buy..unlike most you see on CL
