Anyone buy a 2006 yet?

I got a non-navi for 31,500. Which represents about $600 over invoice (I got a trunk mat, wheel locks, and mud guards too, but that is because the other dealer didn't remove them prior to the dealer trade)

I got my non-navi for $31,800--about $800 over invoice. I would expect that you should be able to get it for around $500-$800 over invoice. I didn't want to wait to order a car so I grabbed one of the only antracite 2006 6 spds in my area.

I just ordered a 2006 6MT Navi w/ Hi-perf tires for 34K. You can probably do better, as I didn't really negotiate that hard.

That SE model looks pretty sweet. Is in only automatic, like most of honda/acura's SE models?

$34K even?!!!! I'm having a hard time getting the deal here in IL at $35,100 on an '06, Navi, 6 spd, black interior.

Dang...where are you ordering from?

What exterior color are you looking for? I bought mine from Woodfield Acura.

I think my actual price is like 34.2 or 34.3K. This is the negotiated price, without registration, CA tax, etc.

Los Gatos Acura, just outside of San Jose, CA. Pull the dealer invoice prices from some place on the net (like edmunds or AAA) and go in armed with that. If they won't do 34.5K or lower for that car, I would walk out.

I suppose it drives like a mazda 6 since thats what it is.
Its got a 3.0 V6 at 221 hp which sounds very much like the old crappy
duratech V6 that is in the taurus, the ford 500, and almost
everything else ford has made for the last 10 years.

Its not a nice motor.

The front of the car looks really bad, the back looks nice.

Woodfield Acura (Mueller....Hoffman Estates), they don't have a 2006 with black interior, 6spd, and navi. They won't have one for another week or two.

They do have an anthracite, onyx 6spd, navi...but it's a 2005.

I'm looking for any exterior color except green. I favor black. The wife favors, anything but.

However, Acura dealers in Palatine/Arlington Heights, Morton Grove, Naperville, and Elmhurst each have an '06 black/black 6spd, navi. They are hard to come down under $35k.

Called around at several Chicago area dealers to the Internet salesman two weeks ago. Pauly Acura (Highland Park) quoted 34,000, Acura of Libertyville was $34,400 and had an 05' for 32,700. Mueller's Woodfield Acura 35,340, Arlington Acura (Palatine) 34,700, Ed Napleton Acura (Elmhurst) 34,300. All prices are without TT&L but include destination charge for 2006 Nav/Auto.

Sometimes the dealers do not want to budge off a new car price. Some will admit that they need to make like 500-800 over invoice. Last time I was at a dealership they were offering 1500 off 05s in january of 05 and they told me that they would honor that price as long as the sale lasts and it was only on the models in the show room. I had to laugh since a new car is a new car and said look ok so you give me that price on a new car in the lot and take the sale price off the one in the showroom. That and they were still making 1000 bucks on the car.

If they think you are desperate for the deal then they will stand their ground. I have had this happen a few times. Got to be willing to walk away from the deal. The dealer's subborness on a couple of occasions lost the deal for them. I went with another dealer or bought a different car.

I think the consensus on the Edmunds board is about $2,000 off MSRP.

Different parts of the country can get better/worse prices depending on the local market.

I was offered $33,995 with Navi by Santa Monica Acura. Is that good? I haven't really been looking into it much yet.

Several dealers here in eastern PA are selling new 2005 TLs at INVOICE.

I was quoted $32,700 for a new 2005 TL NAVI 6sp..

There must be some incentives on them.
