I used to own a 2006 TL and the new 2008 that I've purchased seem to have a yellower colored headlights. I've done some search but haven't found any real answers. Anyone have ideas?

Also, any links to the simplest way to mod headlights or just change color some how would help.

i would think the 08 would look less yellow since the foglights are on the bottom of the bumper, and the in the 06's the foglights are integrated into the headlights so i would think they mix to make a more yellow light

hmmm ... i guess ur observation goes against my theory though ... no real help, just subscribing to this thread cuz this seems interesting ...

 

I have 2008 TL and yeah lights now look more cooler , not yellowish at all to me.

 

Hmm is it just me? I keep seeing the headlights on 2008 much yellower than my previous 2006...I'm even considering HID swapout because of it.

 

I read a while back that NEW HIDs look yellower and that aged or older units will look bluer or whiter. Keep in mind that the yellower light is actually brighter than the bluer and white light. The headlights on the 2nd Gens look really white compared to my HIDs on my '04.
