I have a 2005 AT TL navi with about 65k miles. I have the following mods: clearbra on all edges (including rear bumper), integrated Escort 9500ci radar detector/laser deflector, peripheral iPod integration, sport pedals, all season mats including trunk, type s tails and sides, color matched mud flaps, and the Acurazine-recommended backup camera mod. I do not have the upgrade fairings kits like a-spec; I have original wheels with new tires. I purchased the car in 2007 for $20k and I am the second owner.

I am thinking to upgrade to a 2007/2008 AT or Type S AT. I've found these on Ebay for as low as $25k for something with under 25k miles on it. I obviously want to keep the current to future value of the vehicles to the minimum and am essentially soliciting advice on when I should try to do this turnaround?

So I'm currently thinking there will be almost a $10k turnaround on the price once I sell this car and purchase a new one. Is this worth it or should I drive my current vehicle into the ground? I think that once I get up to 100k miles I'm probably committed to the current vehicle.

My reason for upgrading is just to keep a lower mileage vehicle. The other cosmetic addons, like nav traffic and the doppler thing are interesting, too.

If your happy with your current TL, keep it. If you want a different color/more power move up to the type S. The milage on your TL is not bad. It will run much much longer (with proper maintance.)
