I went ahead and added Alabaster Silver 2007-2008 splash guards to my stock body 2005 Satin Silver Metallic TL. There is some yellowish hue to the new guards but I like them way better than the black ones. This is a previous thread that discussed the color options: https://acurazine.com/forums/showthr...ighlight=color. I am pleased with the results. I didn't want to invest in a body kit at this time. I really like to mod my TL but in keeping the stock look, so I mostly add functionality. You can see some minor cosmetic mods in the photos.
Here are some pictures:

(btw, I have a hidden hitch mounted in this last picture. I'm going to post a full hitch mount thread later on. It's nothing new--just bike transportation hitch mount. There are some threads on this already.)

Looks good. I like the look of the color matched splash guards. I ordered a set for my 07 Carbon Bronze from a dealer on ebay but have not yet installed them. Was it an easy process? Seems pretty straightforward.

Yeah, very easy. Don't lose any of the clips that go behind the screws. Additionally, I recommend that you get one of those bent phillips head screwdrivers from Lowes. It was very easy to do with one of those. You NEED a bent head screwdriver. The space that you have to work in is really limited and even the stubby screwdrivers won't fit.

^ are they really that functional?? i use to have them on my altima and took them off, because i feel that they don't look that great, and dont really do much ... but i could be wrong for the TL

I think the mud guards are VERY functional on the TL. Seriously, they are full of mud and dirt from the road. That crap would spray all over the side of my car or the underbelly of the car if I didn't have these on it. Plus I think the car looks more grounded with the guards on it. And lastly, I am betting that some of the crap that is kicked up by the tires could possibly (this is admittedly less likely) hit my bike on my hitch rack. My bike is expensive and I don't want it damaged!

Keeps the rocks from kicking up onto your rocker panels and causing damage. For those of us who live where rocks seem to breed on our freeways (like Arizona), they are functional.

There is a greater likelihood that the side mirrors could stand out. To me, what little difference there is in paint for the mud guard things is something I wouldn't ever notice because I kind of expect stuff at the bottom of the car to be a different color. I would also like to change my mirrors to 07-08, but I'm hesitant to do it for now. If I were you, I'd go to your local dealer and look at them next to your car (take some photos for us here at AZ) and see how well they match up?

Also I agree that the mud guards are functional. I have them but they are black so I will be taking them off in the summer but in the winter they are a must.

With the color of your wheels maybe you can get NBP mirrors. I was thinking of getting black side mirrors and a black vinyl for the roof. I think it would flow nicely but you need some more mods (like your car) and not stock like mine to pull that off. But I would have to see it photochopped to make a decision
