2005 Acura TL Brake Retainer Clips

Hey guys,

I would like to buy new retaining clips for a brake job and am wondering if someone can help me confirm if the retaining clips come as a set of 1 or if they come in a set of 2. It looks like a set of 2 based on the following diagram:

come as 1 pc, so when you added to cart you will have to change the quantity to 2.

Why you need it tho? PM me I think I got a set from Cmax brake job on my Base TL laying around somewhere (its brand new and NOT OEM)

Instead of cleaning the clips, I figured I would just replace them when i replace my pads and touch up the calipers.. But wow, just replacing the OEM retainer clips would cost quite a bit.
Front: $5.00 x 4 = $20
Rear: $7.00 x 2 = $14
Total: $34.00 ish

I appreciate the offer. I will probably just head to Autozone and pick up a new set for lik1 $10-15. I PM'd you

They are just slides. Autozone rebuild kits would work just fine.

There are some things that don't need to be OEM, and this is one of them. Unless you have uber OCD.

I never install the new clips. Lol. Last weekend I did the rear on my 2013 Camry and said, what the heck, let’s put these new shiny clips on. Couldn’t get them to fit fir some reason, so I put the old ones back on. They were Weaver Gold.

I've had that experience as well. On a set of pads that I purchased from O'Reiley Auto Parts, the retaining clips did not fit. That's why I was originally on the fence.

I'm not sure why, but it seems like most aftermarket retaining clips (on the rear) are often gold even though the spring that comes with in the pack is silver.

You have to clean the build up off the brackets where the slides go. Every time I put new ones on my wire brush the slots to clean them and the new ones fit perfectly.
