I own both a 04 TL and 98 civic, I love the TL. If you would have asked me this question about 5 or 6 yrs ago.. I would have said civic... but I guess I just grew up. I have fun in the civic from time 2 time but I chill and relax in my TL.

To continue to beat a dead horse, the Civic does not compare. A good friend has one and wants my TL. If you want a noisy ride that is uncomfortable go for the Civic. I really like how quite the TL is even with the CAI, high flow cats and resonator removed.

Given we are all biased and each person has their own opinion.

 

Get a used TL-S for $25,000 and if you're not happy you have an extra $10k to play around with. You'll have a luxurious car with a full warranty, along with a much better resale value. Plus you'll be ballin', at least compared to a riced out civic.

 

I had a turbo charged 1995 Civic EX for 7 years...it was the best...but when I bought my 05 TL SSM 2 months ago....Civic is no way near the TL. Comfort, Faster, Stronger, Better....you step on the gas and your out! The NAV alone with all of the features blows it away.

But the #1 reason to take a TL over a is a Civic is way easier to steal so why spend all that money hooking up your civic when so many people have it, and would want your parts???

 

i never understood why some people would buy a 20,000 car and put another 20,000 to upgrade it makes no sense just get a bmw335 already.
