2004 TL V BMW 525xi
I smoked this BMW in Las Vegas Friday, 10-28-05.
I even let him caught up and then just pull away from him so easily.
After all was and and done he gave me the BIG THUMBS UP!
I BET THIS BEEMER SO EASILY!!!!!

who cares, 525's are slow, you should be able to destroy them at will. i would have given him a head start and then pulled past him like he was standing still.

Keep in mind that its smaller engine + AWD really really sucks up the power

sorry but a 525xi. what do they do 0-60 in 8.2 at best? you beat hime like you should....easily. the story here though is 40yrs old and still taken on challengers I love it!

No offense but a 540i AT would eat you alive from both stop and roll. If I remeber well these things are below 6 sec 0-60mph and mid to low 13th for 1/4 mile.
I got smoked really bad by one of these on hwy back when I owned a 3G TL AT (I am not sure if that 540i was AT or MT) but there is virtually no difference between them.
Plus keep in mind that 540i is 290hp and 8 cyl.

540 ia runs a quater in 14.3 at 97 mph. Not mid 13th. 545 does 13.7/104 mph. A TL driver with good imagination can beat both of them.
