Hello All,
I have owned my TL since it was new (May 2004) and I'm starting to look at replacement vehicles. I have 85k on mine now. Aside from another TL, I'm wondering what anyone may have been looking at and if you replaced it with another vehicle how you like it compared to the TL. I am considering a new 2013 Mercedes C300 (AWD), 2014 Infiniti Q50 or the 2014 Lexus IS
Any thoughts/input would be greatly appreciated
Thanks,
Anthony

Lexus GS350 F-Sport, hands down. The C-class and IS are too small for my liking, especially after driving the TL for so long

They added 3" to the 2014 Lexus IS. The release date is June 12 so I have yet to see it. The GS is an awesome looking car but pricey.

85K in about 10 years! doesnt seem like you need a car to much and yours is just getting broken in. get an 08 type S
I want something brand new. The reason for the low mileage is because I also have a 1997 Toyota Celica GT I bought new and still drive for daily commutes. It has 177,000 miles on it. Original engine, transmission, water pump, alternator etc.

Replaced my 08 TL Type S with a Lexus GS 350 F-Sport AWD.
In terms of performance, it hands better than the TL did, but its not really a lot faster. The biggest difference is refinement, build quality, and use of much higher end materials on the interior. Lexus advertises the GS starts at $49k, but that doesn't even include navigation. I never saw one on any dealer lot for under $55k. The sticker on mine was $61k, just a matter of how much you want to spend.
The IS would be a solid choice if you like the design. The only bad part will be that Lexus doesn't discount shit on new models. If you try and deal on a 2014, expect to pay very close to full MSRP for it.

My money would be on an A6 if I was looking around 50-60K for a sedan. I just love the way they look.

Can't go wrong with either choice.. The benz is the smallest of the three but nicest IMO. The Q50 is the best balance of luxo and sporty. Test drive 'em and see which one has what you're looking for.

GS-350 looks nice.
Just traded in my Acura 04 TL, 70,000 miles. I got a Rav4 13 now, more of a family style. If I have another $10,000 on hand, I would of go for the Lexus RX350. Most important question is, what is your budget range like?

Well after driving the IS350, the GS and the Q50, I put a deposit on the Q50. The IS just felt too small for me and the GS was more than I was willing to spend. I’m hoping to get the Q50 in a few weeks. I must say I hated the “drive by wire” steering so I didn’t get that package. I almost felt like I was buzzed while driving with that steering system- as if I didn’t feel the road and was floating.

Thanks for the update, I am sure that you will enjoy the Q50 very much!
Did the Mercedes not make the final test drives? It's definitely smaller then the others you looked at. No TL SH-AWD? Interesting to hear that the IS was still "too small", but I guess the Q50 and such are not it's direct competitor size wise.

I really wanted to stay Japanese as I keep cars for almost 10 years and I feel the longevity just isn't in the German Cars. I wanted something different so I didn't consider another TL which I feel looks dated now anyway.
