2004 TL DRL Update and Advice

So, I'm finally finished turning my fogs into DRL's. I went with an Ultra Blue LED. They're not too bright so I won't be blinding any oncoming drivers and they look pretty cool. Also, even though stationary blue lights are illegal in GA, I've passed at least 3 cops this week and they don't seem to care, which is great!

In terms of the install, I didn't want to start cutting wires in order to make the fog light switch independent, so I bought a $15 DRL control module instead. The module turns the DRL's on only when the car is running and turns them off around 5 seconds after the engine is turned off which is nice.

The module is connected to the car battery. Using splice connectors, I tapped into the fog light harnesses. Next, I tapped the trigger wire to the positive wire on the driver's side ballast so the DRL's turn off when the low beams are on. Fortunately, I still can control the fogs lights using the stock switch with the low beams on.

If you are like me and scared to start cutting wires in your TL but want drl's, getting a DRL module is a good option because it's fairly easy to install and not permanent.
