I've always been a fan of Acuras and I'm looking into getting a 2004 Acura TL, I really want a six speed, but I've heard that their clutch is weak or bad.

I've done some searching and can't turn up a informative post regards the problems and cons with the six speed 3G TL.

If you could give me an idea or direct me to the proper thread, that would be great.

I have an six speed 04 and the clutch is great. my friend is my mechanic, who's a lead mechanic at an acura dealer and he says acura has one of the best stock clutches. i nevr had a problem *knock of wood* i have about 65k on my car.

get the 6speed, highly recommended. i love driving it.

I have two 3G TL's. Mine is an '04 manual and my wife's is an '05 automatic. I have just over 53,000 miles on my '04 and it is just fine. No problems with the clutch at all. I fully expect to see well over 200,000 miles on it if I keep the car that long which I imagine I won't since that would be about another 12 years from now.

6MT is also MUCH faster.
