im about to purchase a blue acura tl 2004 and i was going to order a aspec kit. i dont have the car yet to find the color code but is there only one blue for this car?

abyss blue pearl or royal blue ?


because on my old integra certain years had different shades of blue please let me know

I think Royal Blue Pearl was 04-05. In 06 Acura dropped it and brought out another blue. (Abyss)?

 

2004 model is abyss blue pearl - i know, i have one.

04 & 05 are Abyss Blue Pearl which was dropped in 06 for Royal Blue Pearl.

The royal blue looks a little darker to me but they are not the same. Kind of like satin silver(04-05) and alabaster silver(06+).

 

Royal Blue is more of a shinier blue. Abyss is more midnight-bluish.

04&05 Model = Abysss
06&06 Model = Royal

Make sure u get the matching color. The difference IS noticeable. Go look in the pictures forum and compare the ABP and RBP pics if ya want clarification.

 

Personally I like the Blue from 04-05 better
