Exclamation 2004 Acura TL' Fuel Grade HELP

I bought a 2004 Acura TL the other day and I know that the recommended is premium, and I've been filling Regular ever since, but will me filling in Regular instead of Premium gas really make the difference of the of life of the car and the way it runs ? or is it just a knock off ?
I bought this car and I put in everything I had and I'm 17.. I'd rather pay a little more now than spend a fortune later.

Thanks for all advice in advance.

well, i been always filled my tl-s 03 which i sold with premium Shell only. Its very easy to understand, what you put in either good or bad, its gonna come out the same way. But i dont think regular gas would hurt 04 tranny or anything on the 04 though. But i would recommend you that you could fill 3 times of regular gas and the 4th is the premium, or you could just use the normal gas and clean it with fuel cleaner ( in Autozone) for every 10 to 15k miles.
Take good care of it man, a good car deserves a good premium gas.

Here's one talking about using Shell's Nitrogen Enriched Gasoline:

The manufacturer states 91 or higher octane required. It's in the manual and inside the fuel door.

Premium fuel is required, by putting in regular fuel, you are loosing money, both now and in the long run! Regular will cause you to get horrible MPG and as well damage the motor; A double hit! Use premium like it says to, its REQUIRED.

WHY OH WHY...

Just DO what the owner's manual tells you. Premium unleaded ONLY!

you are not only damaging the engine but getting worse fuel economy by running regular.

think about it.

you run regular. the fuel pre-detonates in the high-compression environment. the system pulls timing and dumps more fuel to cool down the mixture. you lose power in the reduced ignition timing and your MPG drops because the car is using more fuel to cool the intake charge to prevent detonation.

just stick with premium

not to mention the extra fuel out will probably melt the monoliths of your cats.. clogging them up and fouling the o2 sensors..

kid.. this car has CR of 11:1.. spend the extra $0.20/gal and use 93 octane.. It'll save you money in fuel efficiency alone.. not to mention preventing expensive repairs down the line.

in this situation high compression = high octane.

^^ same here. I honestly don't understand why we discuss this so many times. It's in the owners manual... It's covered in the 3G garage.... You'll find plenty of thread's with the good ol' search button.

Use premium. Happy motoring.

It's called trying to save a buck and costing 5 lol.

Seriously though a car being able to run on cheaper 87 is a selling point. The manufacturer would not recommend premium unless it was absolutely necessary.

This topic has been beaten to death over the years. OP, if you require any further clarification on this topic you can look in the 3G Garage and/or do a search on this topic.
