2004 Acura TL?

Looking to buy my first TL. My dad has a 2000 TL and I'm in love with the thing! I've been wanting a 3rd gen for a while. IMO they are the best looking. But, I'm looking at a 2004 TL with 145,000 miles. He said he just put a new battery in it, and replaced the Serpentine belt 2 months ago, and put new tires on it.
What other major maintenance is going to be needed at this mileage? He wants $7500.

I like how you say "he said..." Already don't trust bring a mechanic down to look at it or take it to a mechanic to check everything for you

I just bought an 04 TL with 150k miles on it about a month ago, so far so good. Of course this was from a dealership and they had all the required documents on it (Carfax, ect).

However, during my search I looked at a 05 TL with 100k from a private seller, and I hate to say, there were things wrong that he refused to admit (Tranny slipping, Navi not working right, extreme rough idle.) So just be careful. If you know a mechanic, have him come down and look at it.

if the 105k is done then I would say go ahead and buy the car (if everything else is met with your criteria).

In that case, the Carfax report should list the contact info for the shop/dealer that did the service. You can then contact the shop/dealer with the VIN to verify it.
