2 stupid questions

On Sat. I had 2 different people ask what the plug on the front bumper under the right headlight was for. I had no idea. Can someone tell me what that is for.

Also there are 2 blue lights up near the moonroof switch. I thought I remembered seeing these mentioned somewhere but now can't find it. Are these for anything specific? They don't seem bright enough to light up the navi area.

Thanks

The plug in the front is for hooking up to a trailer and the blue lights are for ambiance.

Plug in bumper covers the hole where the tow hook (in your spare tire compartment) is installed.
I don't remember if the blue lights are to direct you to the Homelink buttons or the lights on/off switch.

I HATE this front bumper plug - mine is already loose and I'm always readjusting it....

Someone posted that you can read a map using the blue light without having to turn-on the lights by the moonroof switch. Since I have the Navi, I never needed the map.

The plug covers the attachment point for the screw in towing eye, found in the foam tool holder in the spare wheel. I't for being towed out straight ahead, presumably when you can't get at the hook on the front subframe, or you're worried the clod will damage the front spoiler/bumper.

The lights are in the overhead pane, small squares on either side of the roof switch. They're pointed straight down, faintly illuminating the shift lever area only. Sorta neat.
