1997 3.2 TL vs. 2005 Altima SE-R
So I was driving to work this morning and to my right is a SE-R Altima, the lanes ahead merge. Coincidentally we both stab our gas pedals at the same time. And the result? A tie! We both backed off and I signaled for him to move over. I expected more from his car
FWIW, my TL IS modified extensively but even so I expected to lose since those cars have a 5 AT or 6MT and 260 hp with less weight. Interesting.

Nothing too powerful but definitely not stock. I'd guess a 40 to 50 hp gain at the flywheel over stock.

I knwo I sound stupid but what's a Type II head? If you have a 40-50hp gain then your car must be making about 250hp, which I think, isn't too far from from the SE-R. I guess that SE-R is the 5AT model since the 6MT model is really fast (unless driven by a crappy driver). Anyways, you did well!

Was this on the freeway or street?

SE-R is 6MT only, so it's probably a bad driver or the TL got the hit.

Actually the 5AT was a no-cost option on the SE-R
