105K Timing Belt Service
You guys probably heard about Hamilton Honda NJ timing belt special ($389.99)
I'm currently getting timing belt + other services done at Hamilton Honda.
This place has super clean facility. service ppl are very friendly as well.
I highly recommend this place and take an advantage of their timing belt special even if you are not at 100k+ miles.

what does this service include? many dealers offer this as a belt only replacement. but then it gets better, accesory belts and water pump tensioner will be another600 bux...so yeah it usually evens out. but good advertisement though.

Even though I do most of the work myself I'd rather pay for it at that price then deal with it at my old shop. This is one of the jobs I don't drink beer while working, so it isn't nearly as fun.

I just did the $389 deal in June. Took a month long vacation trip from Colorado to see the sites out east. Included this stop on my itinerary. $497 out the door includes $75 tensioner and tax. You also get new serp belt, timing belt, and water pump. Call well ahead of time and you should be able to reserve a loaner. Car runs fine all the way to redline. (I checked before I got too far from the dealer.)

This Honda dealer is only a couple years old and is working hard to build their customer base. The service people need to keep busy. The dealer also has to buy a lot of Honda off-lease cars at auction because they do not have a pool of potential returning customers yet.
They also have a $84.95 special for replacing front brake pads. That's 1/2 the price of some Acura dealers in the NY/NJ area....also FREE oil change for first time customer.

I had this done at Hamilton Honda on June 30th. $497 after tax out the door. Tensioner belt was an extra $75. Great dealership/facilities and good customer service. They do service Acura's as well!
The only thing it didn't include are spark plugs, valve adjustments, and idler belt.

I'm having mine done next week at a different honda dealership.. You have to bring it with you for them to honor the price. has to be before the expiration date too, 9/30.

When I went to Hamilton Honda back in June, they did not request to see the coupon, although I did have it with me. You can call them up and ask them.

That's an amazing price, I change the water pumps and timing belts on all my families Honda's and Acura's. For that price I'd seriously consider having them do it. It's a half day job taking your time, and ~$170 in parts. So for $389 that's a really great price.

I managed to get the $389.99 deal.
They were looking for the expiration date of the offer, they can't make out the fine prints because I print the whole ad in 4x5 paper.
Also they have changed the price of tensioner to $98.99. Otherwise the facility is top notch.

I believe that's because Honda Motor Co. recently raised the price on that part. They know most of the early 3G TL's are coming up on their 105K Service intervals now and are gonna sock it to us any way they can. Sort of like what the airlines do with their fares at holiday time.

I will recommand talking Jonathan Chattin (his extention x2403) at Hamilton Honda if you are going to have your car serviced there. He got me in right away and out before noon.
I believe the timing belt special is over but he still give me the deal without any hesitation.

I'm hoping I can get some feedback... I got the timing belt and waterpump replaced recently and the belt (or a diff belt) starting squealing when i turn it on.. it happens mostly when its really cold out but not only. I'm in NJ so I thought it was plausible. But it also happens when its warm but not as consistant. At times the squealing gets louder when Im turning the wheel. I called up the honda dealership that replaced the belt and they're trying to say I prolly need to replace a diff belt that mightve gone bad. I asked them shouldnt they have said something if they noticed another belt was on its way out?! He says yes but it hasnt even been 2 month since they replaced the belt s hard to believe! I figured they wouldn't mind looking at it at no charge but they want to charge me a $102 diagnostic fee if they determine the belts need more than a little lubrication. Not sure what to do bc I dont want to drive a $40k car that squeals!!! I haven't had alot of luck with replacing timing belts with other cars but I guess I get what I pay for since I got them to match another dealerships special on the service. Any suggestions is much appreciated.

It's not the timing belt that is making the noise. Timing belts have teeth, and the squealing noise is from a belt slipping. it's the serpentine belt that is making the squealing noise. The serpentine belt is the belt you see on the left side of the engine when you raise the hood. The pulley you see on top is the power steering pump. The timing belt is covered up. It's not hard to replace the belt yourself, look for a DIY. belt and a tensioner wrench will do the job
