This weekend I just rolled over to 100K miles with my 05. I bought it certified preowned with 48K on it. No major problems except ECU had to be reprogrammed once. I do the normal maintenance as recommended by the maintenance minder. I use Mobil 1. Have not had to do any brake work. Averaging 23 mpg combined city/hwy. Hope to go another 100K!

 

Why did the ECU need to be reprogrammed?

 

you've got the 105k service coming up. make sure you do that.

 

ECU had a problem that caused transmission to cut in and out at highway speeds. Kind of a freaky problem. I posted the problem and code previously. Engine would run and lights stayed on, but transmission wouldn't engage.

I take it in Monday for "B" maintenance. Check the brakes, suspension, transmission, rotate tires, etc. Timing belt and spark plugs should come up within the next 10K.

 

what exactly is "B" maintenance?
