Im pretty dissapointed. My car ran a 10 flat, 10.01 to be exact. I could not hook up in first gear. my R/T was .324 my 60' was 2.509 my 330 was 6.709 and my mph was 72.45. So what did i do? I dropped my tire pressure to 20 lbs. and power braked it at like 2500 rpms.....................and blew my front motor mount. I just replaced that mount a year ago.

I think most of us know your car is capable of something better than a 2.5 60 foot. If you can land a mid 2.2 60 foot, you should be seeing ~9.7-9.8s in the 1/8 and 15.0-15.1@92ish in the 1/4 mile.

Don't power brake! Use D3 and roll into the throttle quickly, like 1/2 second. It will spin less and hook up better. I'd go with 25 lbs air pressure. Know that reaction time measures just that.......the timer on the car starts when your front tire breaks the beam. So concentrate on your 60' mostly.

gate shifting actually works better since you can hold 1st, but the OP does have a 99 so SS will hold 1st if he wants, although there is some shift lag using SS compared to gate shifting.
