Hey guys,

I've searched around, but all i can find is threads on the opposite of what im looking for. I have a type-s that needs a new front bumper, problem is I can't find one anywhere. If I buy the base TL front bumper, will that work for me with no modifications? Assuming I use all the inserts/grills/fog lights from my type s bumper?

 

the bumper itself will fit...
but just like the base guys who go to the type-s bumper, they need to buy all new grilles/fogs and the V trim. you will need to buy the base accessories.

 

my question is will the type s accessories fit on the base model. The v trim is the same, the other pieces i thought ppl changed because the type s ones look better.... my question is are the pieces compatible... i obvs dont want a base bumper... im trying to use the type s accessories on the base..

are the accessories the only thing that distinguish it being a base/type s ? or will i have to do mods to get the type s pieces to fit?

No.

Just like the base guys who go to the type s bumper, you will need to buy all new accessories..... V trim, A-bar, Grille, Fog light grille.

V trim is NOT the same. I went from base to type-s, I had to buy the V-trim.

Once you buy the accessories, everything will snap into place without modifications...but you have to buy the base accessories to go along with the base bumper.

 

commutative property bruv... If someone is going from X to Y and has to change parts, what makes you think that when someone goes from Y to X, they wouldn't have to?

 

why can't you find a Type-S bumper?

 

what you're saying makes no sense.. usually people have the base bumper, and buy type -s accessories because they want to mimic the look of a type s.. so my question is if the type s accessories fit on the base model, then why wouldnt i be able to just transfer my accessories since I already have them on my type s bumper..

We're TELLING you that the bumpers ARE different and as such, the V-trim are all different so Type S trims go with Type S bumpers and Base trims with Base bumpers:

there is a type-s bumper that needs the V, the A, the mesh grilles. in other words, TYPE-S SPECIFIC.
