08 TL-S walks '03 350Z
There's a guy that lives a couple streets down from me, and I see him every now and then at a local 7-11.. Last night he was outside of the store and saw me pull up.. So we got to talking, and he asked me about my car..Then he goes: You think you can take my Z ?? I said yeah, I'll whoop your ass man, lets do it.. SO we did a 10 mph roll, he honked off and we went at it, he pulled ahead by a bit on 1st, I took him while he was shifting from 1st to 2nd, and I was still on 1st, and then just kept walking away... by 100mph he was behind me by a car and a half...the Z was all stock, manual.. I'm walked away impressed, he was shocked :what: and blamed it on his shifting skills.. Oh btw, I took out my SC check valve and I LOVE IT.. I break traction now when going from 2nd to 3rd, with a nice quick engagement..Before the pressure plate was just taking too long... and it felt weird.. Glad I took it out, absolutely love my tranny now!

Maybe he was trying to hold his slurpee between his legs at the same time..

Nice kill. Could you hear him shifting or not really cuz of the Veeeeeetuuuuuuuuu.
Glad to hear you like the check valve mod. I've still yet to do this!!!! I tried and failed!!! I gotta get my buddy to help me cuz my clutch slips a good amount. The other night I did a run and it slipped on 1-2 and 2-3. Then not even 3 minutes later it was totally fine when I powershifted 1-2!!!

I know newer doesn't have to do anything but by that, I meant the OP TL-S is an 08 with new SAE and bigger engine (compares to old TL-s) with 286hp cranked (claimed) where as the 350Z is an 03 with much less power. Let alone one is light modded (if that count) and one is not. =)

I know what you're saying but the '03 Z was rated at 287 hp and 274 ft lbs. That would be around 273 hp and still over 260 tq under the revised SAE specs, so the 350 still has more torque and a stronger power to weight ratio, being 275 lbs lighter than OP's TL-S. On paper the Z is quicker.

^^ What he said. With equal drivers the Z will win 10/10 times. But that doesn't take anything away from your kill

now on this i can say nice kill, unlike that civic thread u posted lol...sweet kill, those 350Z or G35's just don't impress me when stock that is or lightly modded....I ate couple 350z's when I had my DA9 with B16B swap and some simple bolt-ons on highway runs and it was a joke how easily I walked on them....
