'07 TL w/ 95K Miles - Timing Belt Service - is this fair?

I am located in Missouri. I have a 2007 TL w/ 95,000 miles and am planning on doing the timing belt and related services soon.

Dealer wanted $1,400 to do the 90K maintenance, have not had good experience w/ them anyways, so looking elsewhere.

Big name repair shop in town w/ 30+ locations quoted $920 for timing belt, tensioners, idler pulley, water pump... and an additional $37 for air filter, $59 for cabin filter, and $120 for transmission service. All in cost of $1,136.

Are those prices in line with what you guys are seeing in the Midwest?

I also could go a different route and take it to a mechanic that works at one of the Acura dealers and does some work on the side out of his garage, but wasn't sure if that would be wise for this type of service?

Buy the Aisin kit on RockAuto for < $200 and take it to the Acura mechanic if you trust him.

Don't forget about the spark plugs.

I'm planning to do timing belt service by myself soon. I got 2008 TL and I looked for some of the parts online.

What does include "transmission service" ? If they will just change the fluid, it's almost like robbery. (it's $10 for one quart, $84 for 12 quarts, takes less than 30 minutes)

Part prices for my 2008 TL (timing belt, water pump etc.) is about $200
("Aisin TKH-002 Engine Timing Belt Kit with Water Pump" on Amazon).

Spark plugs $10x6 = $60
Air filter ~$20
Cabin air filter ~$10

I would need couple hours for this job (one day?), found a place with tools and car lift I can rent for $15/hour.

So my total will be around $300 + renting garage + tax

If I wouldn't want to do it by myself, I would look for price around $700-$800 (including parts) for timing belt. Filters and "transmission service" can be by anybody with 3h spare time. I'm in IL if it does matter.

Only need the lift if that for fluid changes, the rest can be done while the car is on the ground including draining the radiator.

Spark plugs are about $7 if you get them from pepboys/autozone online and look for their coupon codes, free pickup instore. I ended up buying nearly 24 plugs for $6 each with the coupon (12 for the 760, 6 for the TL and 6 for the MDX).
