5at Type S isnt the best on fuel, but it's respectable when it's not all city (just like any car). When I had my 5at Type S on my usual driving in the far suburbs I got around 19-20ish MPG. The 6mt on the other hand does measurably better. On the Alsace commute I got 23mpg so it's about 3-4mpg better.

^^^^you must have a heavy foot like my wife. I got 19 mpg that with Houston traffic at 4:30 pm, if I beat on it I got around 17 mpg meanwhile some how my wife achieve low 16 mpg. Base TL should get at least 20 for city.

Our car has a 17gal tank, the light comes on way early. I've gone ~75m with the light on and still didn't fill the full 17g. I have a 30m commute with a lot of stop and go and i can still get ~26mpg. Chevron is the best gas BTW. I've done multiple fill ups and test for both MPG and performance. Datalogging in my previous turbo car showed less KR with Chevron and while cruising as good or better MPG than any other brand. Research also showed Chevron used more additives that help both MPG and performance.

want better gas mileage?
1. keep the car mechanically sound
2. keep your foot out of the gas
that's it

1. Based on mileage I would get a tune up done (spark plugs, air filter)
2. Run premium fuel, I would even go as far to find fuel with no ethanol (Ethanol-free gas stations in the U.S. and Canada)
3. Don't race to every light, if you see the light is going to turn yellow-red then get your foot of the throttle and let the car coast as much as possible.
