07 TL Type S?

Hi Guys - Found a good deal on a TL locally. It's an 07 with 60k miles. Car drives fine except the trans shifts with a slight jerk (like you release the clutch pedal quick in a manual car). Is this a common trait?

Should I go for it? The miles are a little concerning.....

Thanks!

The TL-S has slightly firmer shifts than a base TL along with rev-matching shifts. As well, the TL adapts to the way a person drives, so if the prior owner did a lot of highway driving, it may not be used to city driving, etc. Drive it again and go on varying roads for about 10-15 miles.

I have 61K on my 07 TL-S and bought it from Ed Voyles Acura in Atlanta, CPO, with 50K miles with an immaculate 3 page Carfax report. Mine is a 5AT, but I would def try to get the extended 100K mile warranty. I have brought my car in a few times to the dealership for warranty repairs.

I test drove several 04-08 TLs (all auto trans) and the Type-S has firmer downshifts. There are a few threads about this. Also the steering is noticeably stiffer than the Base TL.

Test drive a few Base/Aspec/Type-S TLs and decide on what you really want. I probably have one of the more higher mileage 07-08 Type-S here but it drives like a dream. Hope this helps and good luck with your purchase!~

It's probably fine...the TL-S 6 sp is just hard to drive...1-2 shift sucks for me...I can't get it right yet...about 70% of the time I shift it smooth.
