07 TL and TL-S tire pressure
I have noticed in my 07 TLS according to the MID the front tires are at 36lbs and the rear is at 29lbs but they are fine. I talked to the service manager and he believes there is an issue starting to rise. He has seen a couple of 07 TL with the same pressure problems so I thought I would let everyone know. He basically told me when or if I get a warning light to take it in and he would replace the sensors. You guys may already be aware of this but I thought I would let you know.

I am not saying I am ok with the tire pressure I am sayiny that my tire pressure is good 32 all the way around but my MID says different. If you guys are checking your tire pressure and it is different than your MID than there might be an issue in the 07's. Thats all I was trying to say.

You should be setting pressures at 35F/32R cold.
I good tire pressure gauge is highly recommended (not a pencil)

Even though it complaints a bit in MID when it's cold out there at night when I go drinking/clubbing ...

My MID has beeen pretty accurate so far.
With winter upon us, always check and add air when tires are cold. If not, you run the risk of the TPMS alert as pressures go down in relation to temperature.
My Acura dealer says the line starts getting pretty long at the service dept. as people bring their cars in for the alert as soon as the temp. drops.

What did you guys do before these tire pressur monitors in your car? I belive my shop I drive to everyday and work at everday, I have the ability to check my tire pressure on a regular basis. I don't need that little MID telling me what it thinks the pressure is BUT when you pay for a car that has an option... it SHOULD work accuratley and it doesn't. I am also well aware of cold pressure and warm pressures difference. A 1-2 differnence wouldn't bother me but when it starts getting 3,4,5 lbs off it starting to bother me but I checked the tires and they were all at 32 cold so I wasn't worried about it. I have a very good relationship with are local Acura dealership. I delivered a car to Acura and had a talk with Joe (service manger) and he informed me that he is starting to see problems in 07 I appriciate you guys trying to help me understand that 7lbs diff. is bad and the difference in cold and warm goes up and down, I understand all that.

BTW, my TL-S 6MT recommends 35psi in front. Is yours different? If so, is it an automatic. I ask because my dealer keeps setting it at 32 all around, but the car definitely handles better with 35 or 36 in front.

I keep them at 32 not to say it shouldn't be at 35 in the front, I just went with the dealer. I didn't even think about it handling better, I will have to keep that inmind.

Take it back to the dealer if you have a friggin' problem. Most of the people on this forum have posted that they don't have a problem. I, for one, do not! I have also never felt the need for a TPMS type of device. This, like other options, was created out of the void of people not performing regular maintenance when they shoud, in an effort to keep us safer. I can see a safety purpose though, if someone were to pick up a nail unexpectedly.

If it wasn't for the TPMS I would not have known about the loss in air until it was too late. I never noticed a difference in the handling of the car.
I will never get a vehicle without this feature again.

The numbers are on the drivers door. I can't see any reason to doubt them.

the pressure on the door is only a recommended starting point....actual pressure should depend on your particular driving style, ambient conditions, and weight on wheels.

Maybe my mistake. You seemed to be finger pointing at Acura something of which you were convinced was a widespread problem. It doesn't seem as though that is the case. I would think the dealer should be able to recalibrate the TPMS in your situation, and solve your problem. No mfr. is perfect, and we have learned of problems on this forum. This just doesn't sound like one of them. If it becomes one, I am sure that Acura will publish a bulletin for it.
Good luck on getting it fixed.

If the dealership would not of said anything to me I would have had no idea it might of been a problem, I was just trying to repeat what a service manager from Acura told me.

if i was the tech looking at this, id put the car up on the lift, set the tire pressure to 35 all around. re initialize each sensor..
