Thumbs up 07 TL-S My Story/Impressions

Well I picked up the car last night and I must say I am impressed. I'm only 23... Turning 24 in a few days but I've actually owned a bunch of Acura's. 87 Legend, 91 Legend, 93 Legend. Originally I went into Acura looking to spend about 30k on a TSX. I figured I would set a cap for myself and try to stick to that. After looking over the financing and the discounted price differences between the TSX and the TL Type S, It was clear that for the extra $$$ it would be well worth it. Not to mention that I would be able to get 3.9 apr vs 7-8% on the TSX. With that I purchased the car at the beginning of the week and picked it up last night. The Acura dealer was able to walk me through pretty much anything in the car. The over all depth of all the systems is great. I didn’t expect to be able to change options such as how long the lights stay on for once the car is off or if the doors unlock when I turn the car off. The style/color of the gauge cluster is awesome. Everything about the car is very comfortable. As for the ride it totally reminds me of my 93 LS coupe w/ Koni/Eibach’s. Acceleration is very quick (Have yet to redline it waiting to break the engine in a bit). I do have one complaint… which if I would have searched the forum I would have been able to resolve before buying the car… The Ipod Musiclink sucks; not being able to see the track names is totally a pain. Minor details, the dealer had all ready installed it in the car by the time I read on the forums how much it sucks. Anyways, Hopefully this new TL will hold as well as the Legend. Very happy with my purchase, I can easily recommend this car to anyone in the market.

Congratulations.

I made MP3 disks. I can fit about 12 albums on each disk and the folder names and individual track names come up on the screen. Makes it very easy to pick what song you want.

However, I listen to XM about 90% of the time. I usually us the disks only when I am in the mood to listen to a soundtrack or a specific album.

What color and trans did you get? I have a 2007 TL-S Silver, ebony/grey int, auto. Awesome car! If I had $10,000 to burn, and never drive in snow, I would of bought a 2007 BMW 335i Coupe, loaded. BUT thats NOT the case. The TL-S is the biggest BANG for the $$$ Jeff D.

Thats what I did. I listen to XM quite a bit. I have been listening to the Comedy channels also, FUNNY! Especially when I am in a traffic JAM. Whenever I get a little uptight, I turn to channel 150+.

I was actually seriously looking @ the 335i or a G37... My issue was my Volvo S80 T6 was having MORE issues... that car was a nightmare... I could flip the extra 10k... No real overhead at this point in my life... but currently I'm renting an apt so no garage and I'm driving 1 hour 15 mins each way to work. I couldn't justify dropping 45-50k on a car with no garage. Not to mention I have a decent track record with Acura... The legend's have treated me well.

As for color I got the KBP with Ebony/Taupe.

I most likey will do the same thing with the Mp3 Disc's the ipod interface is just too clunky... I have yet to find the channels I like on XM just too many to choose from.
