I was wondering if a front bumper of a regular 2007 could be put on the front of a 2007 TL Type-S so the A-Spec body kit for the regualr TL can be put on a TL Type-S . I LOVED my A-Spec body kit on my 2006 TL. But I really didn't like the A-Spec front body kit on my 2007 TL Type-S. I want to but a 2007 WDP TL Type-S and make it look like my 2006 TL front with A-Spec kit.

Yes.

It'll take some modifications to the front lip, but it CAN work.

I've seen it on AZine...

I've seen 04-06 TLs with Type-S A-Spec front lips.
I've seen 07/08 base TLs with 04/06 A-Spec lips.
I've seen 07/08 base TLs with Type-S front lips.
I've seen 07/08 Type-S TLs with 04/06 A-Spec front lips.
I've seen 07/08 Type-S TLs with 07/08 Base A-Spec front lips.

The only thing I don't think I've seen is a 04/06 TL with a 07/08 Base A-Spec front lip.

Thankyou very much guitarplayer16 )) I was going to do a search but didnt know how to say it. I thought this was possible. I thought I read it somewhere about 3 years ago. Its been a long time since I lived on this forum. I have changed alot, and hope people here will forgive me for being such an impatient self centered person. Not anymore. Thanks again !!! I had a 2007 Type-S and loved everything about the car EXCEPT the front A-Spec lip. WAY TOO MASSIVE. I loved the front of my 2006 WDP Tl with the A-Spec kit. GOD BLESS ALL

I hope to buy a 2007 or 2008 WDP TL Type-S with an auto and ebony/silver leather some time in July 2012. I just have to be patient and wait for KAZOO

What I want is the A-Spec front from a regular 07-08 to fit on an 07-07 Type-S front. I had a 2007 Type-S and didnt like the front A-Spec kit.

JD, that's exactly what I've wanted on my Type S too, but there's a lot of modification to do to an Aspec nose for a Base TL to make it fit on a Type S.

If you ask Jaime (jptl04), you'll get a better idea as to what is involved. I can just tell you it isn't easy. If you're inclined in that direction, it won't be bad.

OP, if that is the look you are going for I say it's worth the trouble. That conversion looks super clean. I'd go for it.

Awesome. Thanks ALOT !!! You guys are super I loved my 07 Type-S but the front A-Spec is ugly in my opinion. I LOVED the front A-Spec on my 06 WDP TL 6-speed. But I tradded that awesome car in on my current 2010 Camaro 2SS/RS thats awesome. I was a fool for doing that. But I have really enjoyed the 26 months I have driven my Camaro 36,000 miles. Its FUN smoking everything on the road Its time to relax and get a 2007 or 2008 WDP Type-S auto with ebony/silver leather. I want to put TEIN SS coilovers on it, tint the windows, The A-Spec kit with the base TL front A-Spec kit, some LEDS, and maybe a new quad exhaust from ATLP. I am not modding the engine. I also want some 19 inch wheels with a polished lip and a silver center 5 or 6 spoke wheel. I loved my AXIS HIRO's in Hyper Silver, but AXIS stopped making them in silver (just black now) which sucks. Anyway, thanks alot guys, and GOD BLESS YOU

i also have and 07 type s and wanted to custom fit the base lip on mind, but after ton of research i will be just buying the base bumper instead of trying make it fit.

Sorry for the slight thread jack. I was wondering if the 07-08 Type S Front bumper can fit on the 08 TL without any modification? Can you reuse the grilles/grille pieces? Or do you need the chrome type s grille?

Thats what I want to do. Does the FRONT BUMPER from a base 07 TL fit on the FRONT of a 2007 TYPE-S TL ??? IF IT DOES, then I will just buy the 2007 BASE FRONT BUMPER, AND PUT THE 2007 BASE A-SPEC LIP ON IT. Thats my orininal question. But I am willing to MOD the front end of the 2007 TYPE-S bumper to FIT A 2007 BASE TL A-SPEC LIP. Whatever it takes
