Bulb size is H8. Why do bulbs that blue? There will be little light from them. Less light than the 4100K low/high beams. If I wwere you i'd maintain the fog lights for what they were for. Seeing through foggy conditions. To enhance fog visibility and/or the JDM look, go with 3000k bulbs in the fogs. Think of Lexus GS400 or IS300, Nissan 240SX fogs as a good example. Why switch to new head lights if the give less visibility than other choices?

My 08 TL uses H8. I had Hoen Endurance bulbs than swapped in a H8 HID kit. Now I'm back to stock H8 bulbs.

Why the switching, was one better or worse then another?

We offer a variety of bulbs, including the H8. We also have a few HID kits if you want to switch to a full true HID system. I'd just stick with swapping out the bulb. More cost effective and looks great.

PIAA H8 bulb:

HID H8/11 Kit:

I wanted to get away from the jdm fan boys running yellow fogs in their civics and scions

Hoen endurance are halogens with a yellow tinted glass.

HIDs i chose were 5k (although they were closer to 6k color)

HIDs are brighter than all halogens without a doubt.

Plus those hoen bulbs costed almost $40.

The vvme hid kit I bought costed the same and significantly brighter

Does the H8 bulb (non HID) throw any more light than the OEM one? What is the color temp?

The bulbs will be the oem wattage which I believe is either 35w or 55w. The benefit of the bulb is that it produces an extreme white beam that will light things up better than the oem bulb.

The Piaa bulbs arent going to be any better then the stock ones, they are just going to have a whiter look to them. Most of the halogen bulbs that are whiter arent brighter. They have a blue coating on the glass, this tends to make the bulbs burn hotter and not last that long.
