07 tails on 04-06
I know this has probably been asked but I searched and did not find a thread on this. Can you put the 07 tails on an 04-06 model without any modification?

You're going to have to swap the led boards because the backing of the 07-08 style tail lights have a different design than the 04-06 tails. I had to dremel away at two tabs in the way for accomodating the 07-08 led boards, which cost me $228.57 shipped. It's not a cheap mod. Also, the 07-08 tail lights use 1157 bulbs, which aren't wedge based so you'll need a new socket too. I had to buy 1157 bulbs and an 1157 socket to make the bulb fit into the turn signal housing.

Ugh... bforbrian's post has me confused now. So it is more than just a simple swapping of the lights?
I was not talking about the Type-S tails but thanks. I was just talking about the base 07 tails. But according to the first thread that comes up on that search, the Type-S tails are a simple swap but the base is harder? Is that right?
