Will it hold?
I'm afraid of it lifting.
Once this the lifting is noticeable, some jackass will try to rip it off.
Are you using this method? if so, how is it holding?
How is the weather where you live? I'm in Canada and it's really cold and snows often, I'm afraid this might affect the tape not to stick.
If anyone has a template, please email it to me.
I might go with the tape method, but still would like the template just in case.
Thanks.

There is no template for it. The reason is that the deck lid spoiler (especially the Type S one) is part of the body style and is not an accessory. The 04-06 deck lid spoiler is an accessory hence the template is provided to install it. I am getting a type S deck lid spoiler for my 06 TL, the 06 deck lid spoiler is installed using 3M tape along with two screws (yes holes would have to be drilled in the trunk) where as the Type S spoiler needs 6 holes
. I thought about installing it using the tape but dropped that idea since I will probably never take the spoiler off so it will go on using the screws. Take yours to a body shop and they should be able to install it without a template.

I used 3m tape, and now the edges are peeling up. I am with JnC, going to pull the spoiler off and drill them holes in. Not something I want to do, but gotta do it. I hate seeing the tape through the gap, and the gap itself
