Damn, prices are absurd at the moment.
Prior to Covid, I saw a couple of Type S 6MT that I decided not to pursue because I figured prices were going to keep dropping. Boy, was I wrong.
Just a couple that I remember:

Just a couple that I remember:
- 2008 Type S NBP 6MT with clean black/silver interior and 100k, but salvage title @ $5900
- 2007 Type S KBP 6MT with clean black/silver and 110k and clean title @ $6700
- Type S KBP 6MT with >150k but torn seats clean title @ $6000
- Type S NBP 6MT with >200k but it was rough @ $3000
- Type S ASM 6MT with 190k but it was "spirited" driven $3000

Its been a well know fact that the 3rd gen is going up in value. A few members here kept going at it with me because they lacked the ability to do their homework. One member went as far to call bs on my claims that a member here sold his super clean, immaculate 2005 6MT TL for 15K. This debate on 3rd gen TL prices can be seen on all sorts of different pages, groups ect. Most like to price bash and de-value their own generation vehicle, while the others get it. Not all 3rd gen TL's are going up in value. We all know the details. Even some on the 2nd gen TLX section of Acurazine are pretty ignorant to understand that the 3rd gen TL is still a sought after vehicle. It was and still is one of their best sedans. There's a reason why it's still popular today just simply put it's a timeless classic and overall a great vehicle. It was what made Acura simply Acura.

Exactly! And I know it's been discussed and no concrete resolution was achieved. But man it would be nice to know just how many 07-08 Type S's 6MT were actually made. Factor in all that have been totaled or parted out etc, makes me wonder...

I bought my KBP right beginning of Covid without the intention of selling it, fast forward now I am still happy for what I paid for.

All I know is I bought my 08 6MT KBP Type S w/ 118,500 miles for $10,500 back in October 2020. No way in hell I'd sell it for less then $14,000 today. (119,300) Laugh or not, just fact...

So there is a 2007 Type S 6MT with 282,043 miles...$10,990 on car gurus. With atrocious wheels mind you (opinion boys) I'm thinking maybe it's a typo? Maybe they meant 182,043?
Some other Type S's 6MT.'s on Gurus...
07 - 176,850 for $11,450 - 4 owners (listed as Carbon Grey Pearl?) Was that even a thing?
07 - 150,000 for $11,950 - 3 owners
07 - 135,000 for $11,500 - 3owners
08 - 71,403 for $19,499 (Lucky! But 3 owners wtf)
All these listed above are NBP, that's all that came up under a 07-08 Nationwide search of 6MT's color option wise currently...
So I decided to play and get on KBB with my...
08 - 119,383 Type S 6MT NBP etc, 2nd owner Private party range - $7667 to $9726. I chose the "Good" condition option over "Very good" or lol "excellent" Timing belt, water pump, all koyo bearing replaced, Honda type 2 coolant flush, NGK plugs serpentine belt, thermostat replaced 8...yes 8 miles ago. Obviously KBB doesn't know this.
I'm a big boy, I can certainly take it if I'm going to give it, ain't no feelings here. But sorry...if I were to sell at the current time in seeing this trend? $14,000

Did someone on the board just recently purchase a 07 Type S in silver with just over 100k in the PNW? Congratulations if you did. I had my cousin ready to check it out and leave a deposit to purchase after ensuring no major issues from a PPI.
Got the message within hours that the first and only person to come and take a look, purchased it as I was planning to.
5k down and the rest upon clean PPI and title transfer. I guess I was late in responding by about 30min. For those wondering, very clean and taken care of. I believe asking was right at 10k, but they seemed friendly enough. Might have taken a little less, but I hate to haggle on a good deal.

KBB isn't something you can used to judge the value of your car, Type S is a limited production run and out of those Type S how many was manual? our Type S is similar to a Legend sedan in GS trim. The holly grail on that car would be a black in black GS MT.
according to OP the avg price for MT type S is $8650, where can I get a Type S MT at that price in decent shape lol. KBB listed a 91 NSX for right around $22k please show me where can I buy a NA1 for $22k and I would gladly buy 3 of them at that price, The S2000 is another case as well, people who said "according to KBB" I kindly tell them "please go and buy an ideal car from KBB then".

I appreciate you keeping an eye out for me. I knew i picked the right person to re-home - I mean send my kid to get an education with. It's a shame in-laws get involved in personal matters.
7 owners is a lot, but at almost 15 years isn't horrible. If I had to guess I would think that probably 4 would be lien transfers between individuals and banks. I'm sure the right one will come along, if it doesn't I'll just do a poor man's version on an Accord and supercharge it.
I do feel for those who don't know the true value on the manuals and are getting hosed on trade in. I have a feeling quite a few lot managers are taking it off their hands privately.

^ Pretty much all of this! It never occurred to me the whole transfer "thingy" you're probably right on. It certainly seems though the word is out on the 6MT's and the prices are showing. Geesh I got lucky back in October it looks...

I went to Acura of Portland to see my main man @Tyrone503 and pick up a part.
As I park next to an 07-08’ TSX 6MT, there is a service tech oozing over it with a gleam in his eyes.
I walk up to the door and it is opened for me by another tech who promptly asks, “How much are you selling it for?”, “It’s not for sale”, I reply. “Do you plan on selling it in the future?”, “No, they are my babies”, I tell him.
Interesting the level of attention these years of Acura are getting!

I had a similar experience last summer.
I drove my S/C'd CL-S6 to an Acura dealer to pick up an O-ring or something, it's like 99+ degrees out side with humidity factored in.
So, the only place to park is right in front of the showroom entrance with all the freshly pressed shirt sales lizards huddling inside the 68 degree showroom entrance.
As I step up the stairway the door swings open and a couple of salesman are standing there with inquisitive grins on their faces.
One blurts out, after I walk by and thank them for opening the door.
What's the A-pillar gauge pod for?
I shout out, For Fuuun!
