Hey can anyone which wires are which. The reason I ask is I retroed these onto my 03 Accord coupe. My stock harness has only 3 wires, while the 07-08 TL side mirrors has 10.

Just curious; if the bases are identical, has anyone tried assembling their own 2007 mirror assemblies? Comparing the 2006 and 2007 parts list on acuraOEMparts.com, they list the same part number for the actuator assembly. The mirror, light assembly and housing set are less than half the price of a complete mirror assembly.

Of course, having a RRP takes the incentive out of this mod for me.

dude its hell.... theres no way to really explain it u just need to see it being done.it takes about 3-4 hours clean install. if u rush it... enjoy fixing what u break. the wires need to be snaked a specific way to make it all look stock and to describe it is impossible

Agree... take it to someone that knows what they r doing... the little $$$ dished out is worth it in the end... the simplest way is the splice the wire to the front blinker, but it won't be as clean as wire the mirror blinker to the fuse box...

Thanks for the posts, TripnBeats......for now I have given up snaking it correctly through the door, I caved in and sent it through the door lip. Since its only one tiny black wire on each side, its not even noticeable, but I will fix it when I have the patience. The mirrors work fine though, and now will be painting them, since they dont come in anthracite....

im doing a diy tomorrow so that everyone can see how its done, but im not going to go through with the wiring. i can specify what wires do what and u can cut n splice away and hide them on ur own because that part isnt that hard. plus ill take a pic of which harness has to be tapped into.

I completed my install yesterday. I was a direct fit. I replaced my '06 mirrors with the '07. The driver's side powered up immediately (as if it was prewired). Unfortunately, I had to run a signal wire for my passenger side. There was a wire in the slot on the harness for the blinkers, but no power came through. I just ran a wire along the side of the car and tapped into the rear turn signal cable (to me, it was easier than running it to the front signals) Both signals work fine on my NBP.

Again, I think the prewiring only came on the '06 models but was scratched for the 07-08 remodel. Just my

I will post pics tommorrow

theres no prewire in the 06 model ive done a few... the tech at acura refers them to me....they come down to my shop n i install it no probs.... even the later model 06's dont have it prewired i just find that weird...... you dont run cables to the signal wire you run it to the circuit signal cable on the fuse block....the one that activates the signal when u push down or up on the switch.

Ok since its all interlaced with the DPMS I copied the DPMS schematics too if there are any questions or you think more scans need to be added let me know the only thing on the 2008 mirrors is one wire added which is pink/back and thats the signal circuit..... on the fuse box block, under the drivers kick panel its the white harness which has the right turn signal circuit which a white wire and the red\blue wire for the left turn signal circuit.
