Can someone post closeup pics of the 07-08 rear license plate garnish, specifically the backup camera area?

Looking to retrofit the Type-S garnish on my 06 without the camera, but not sure how safe it is if the metal has sharp edges where camera should be. Granted there shouldn't be any reason to touch that area but just in case

Good to see there's a curved opening for the camera, so it should be safe as you mentioned and not too odd-looking without a camera. Still wish they sold the chrome piece by itself though, and not the whole $200+ garnish

it's just a decal that the forum sends you when you donate at the charity drive each year.

i just put it on a license plate frame.

The USA was completely defenseless against the invasion, despite the fact that Baltimore was defended by block the English Navy to enter the harbor and landing force there. Also at the fort (I don'' remember the name lol) where it been bombardment all night long, but in the dawn of morning the US flag still there (hint it is included in the national anthem song) the president was forced to evacuated, later the USA emerging victorious and the war ended through a peace treaty (I believe in Belgium or some where in Europe). That why they are proud of the war 1812, just like my home state. State of Connecticut's politic wrote most of constitution for USA that why our plate say "Constitution State".

to the OP: why don't buy the plastic piece from the Type S since all Type S has backup camera and you won't need to custom fit it.

Can't buy the trim piece by itself, it's only sold with the entire license plate garnish. And you don't usually see this piece by itself on the black market I think...and I don't know if it's even removable from the garnish.

It's removable from the garnish. It's how many of us were able to wrap it in vinyl. Sharksbreath wrapped his in Carbon Fiber vinyl, I wrapped mines is Gloss Black vinyl. If you want the Type-S because it looks chrome, why don't you just wrap it in shiny chrome vinyl instead of buying the whole license plate garnish only to use 1 piece?

Yup and beside you can check Ebay and car-part.com for used one or pull one from wrecked. I mean it not that hard at all.

Ah yes...not sure how I missed that in the pics Chrome vinyl is a good idea but the color/texture may not match the dark chrome on the TL-S grille exactly (which I'm also retrofitting).

Just checked all those sources and came up with nothing (not surprisingly). Time for another WTB post in garage sale I suppose
