Exactly! All started a few weeks back when I cracked the lights to remove amber (or carbon over I should say) and add clear lens/new bulb. The outer ring on the projector is ridiculously flimsy. The clip snapped off and I tried buttoning it back up with electrical but it ended up moving. I needed a new/used projector. Picked up a mint TL base headlight online for $125.(the package must of made 3 trips around the globe because it took long enough to deliver....but when it arrived it was mint so I was happy) Anyway, popped the ring off once I had projector out and put it on put it back on the original projector (used the outer lens clear plastic too). Headlight back in oven now.
Couple of additional questions. While I have the bumper off I'm going to install my switchbacks, fogs, dlr.'s (had them for long enough but crazy busy with non car stress). Anyway, Any suggestions on where to mount the HID fog ballasts, the vled switchback resisters (i think thats what they are??) and the DRL load module? I see folks on the sight have different spots but hoping to find the driest and best place to disburse heat. Mot trying to overthink this but I'd be crazy not to ask. Thanks!

OP I actually did a little project with mine and my DRLs will stay in with my headlights only when they are on. I will be writing a DIY on this very soon on how to do this mod!
With low beam on
With high beam on
With high beam on

Recall though that because you won't be using the DRL circuit , it technically doesn't matter what end relay you get, you're going to have to T tap or splice into the low beam circuit

yeah thats not a problem. im gonna run low beams in the DRL section of the headlight while the regular low beams are on, then make all four projectors open up with the high beams tapped.

I understand that part, I'm more referring to your referencing the '9005' portion of the relay harness, any number harness will work for your purposes.

Im going with Mini H1 projectors, they have a curved shield and produce awesome light.
Theretrofitsource.com has Acme 5.0 h1 projectors for $50 which is awesome.
I used to do custom headlights on the side, and did a set of TL lights three years ago so its nothing for me, but i didnt retrofit anything i just did painting.
This time im gonna do a quad setup, color changing demon eyes, Color chasing halos that switchback as well, projector clear lens and lens spacing on the low beam projector to maximize the sharpness and width of the stock projector

Got it. Well you'll need 9005 females on the DRL circuit for the load resistors only. You'll only plug in those load resistors and be done with that circuit. The other relay harness, you'll be tapping into the low beam circuit. The H1 solenoid would be tapped into the bi-xenon solenoid wires.

Ill do an official welcome thread of my headlight work on the max as well, i think you guys will be impressed.

Awesome man, can't wait!
If you want to change your username once you get the TL, you can reach out to Ron A and he can do it for you (one time only). You'll be forever in his debt but so are the rest of us.

Hi,
I'm new on this forum, and glad to be here. Coming from Honda accord 2000, I've been an Acura fan for ever, and finally got my '07 TL about 6 months ago.
I've been wanting to do exactly what you posted. Kindly post the step by step DIY. Thanks in advance 👍🏼

This mod is pretty simple really. I bought a wiring harness on ebay:
https://www.ebay.com/itm/HID-Fuse-Re...d=190528628946
Hook up the pos/neg on the harness to the battery. I connected the accessory wire on the harness to a switch (Amazon or Ebay) that I installed on the dash. I picked up some LEDs from Vleds:
https://www.vleds.com/shop-bulb-numb...05-6-xte2.html
Done.

There are couple ways of approaching this problem. Are your LEDs having just two cables, and they operate in DRL mode automatically when they have 6V?
Are they going to work reliably when connected to the car unmodified? How much power they run at in high beam mode (when you connect them to 12V)?
