I searched but didnt really see anything, I just bought a 2006 TL WDP from a private lot, I found out that the person had their work done at an Acura dealership, there wasnt much maint. paperwork in the glove box, can the dealership tell me everything that they have done to the car in the past just by giving them either the previous owners name or the VIN?

 

All work performed at any Acura dealership is stored in their computer systems and you be able to see/get a copy of that, at least that's what I'm told!

 

Sign up for myacura.com, you might be able to find something on there, I couldn't. You can also store you radio and navi codes there!

 

I just bought my 2008 TL yesterday and I was wondering the same thing. The key has a keychain from Acura of Ocean so I plan on giving them a call to get all the details.

I thought Acura dealers don't store service history unless the car was serviced at that particular dealership? If thats the case thats lame. Lexus has a site where I can view my cars history information right online. Myacura had no information about my car.

 

i do not believe myacura has service history online unless the owner input that information into the site to keep track.

the dealer has an entire service history on a vehicle if it was serviced there. i've glimpsed mine and sure enough, everything i've had done there is in there.

i keep tabs on all services done on my car by the dealer or other places on a spread sheet.

 

Any work done at my Acura Dealer is automatically stored in My Acura =)

I didn't specify them to do it, they just did it LOL

Even when I had my new key programmed they entered it as "Electrical".

 

I am not having luck with my car. The key chain said it was bought at Acura of Ocean but that Acura dealer has no info about the car. I called Acura and they told me something else. So I am lost right now.

I don't understand why Acura does not follow other luxury car manufacturers (BMW/Lexus/Audi) and have all the service history shared throughout the Acura dealer network.

 

there is no guarantee that the owner serviced their car at an acura dealer ... all the services could have been done at a private mechanic. the best way to get hold of that information is to contact the previous owner if possible

 

mine doesn't have this. i have to manually input the info. oh well. i'll just do it old school.
