06 TL Auto and Iphone Dynolicious 0-60

Im new around here. I have an Anthracite 06 Navi automatic. Love the car.

Anyways I bought the |Dynolicious app for my iphone a few days ago. For those not familiar with this app, according to most reviews, when calibrated properly, it gives you near drag strip accuracy.

See this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0-DFbJQbeSY

Anyways, I did calibrate it and have run it 5 times.

Just 0-60mph.

No torque launches or anything, just floored it.

My 0-60mph times have been consistent across the board.

0-60mph -average of 6.81 seconds.

I think thats not bad for a dead stock TL.

Dynolicious is amazing, if anyone is pondering whether to blow their $13, I recommend it, its fun and simply satisfies my curiousity about how fast my car really is.

No torque launches, simply floored it in drive. The TL didn't
Feel faster then my wifes 2006 325i but it is in fact a little quicker, her 325 auto gets a 7.1 sec 0-60 time every time.

1st runs with dynolicious

I was pleased with the results. My first run experienced a lot of tire spin. Smoked my 235s and ran a 0-60 at 7+. My second run was much better pushing right at 6.0s.

1/8th mile - 9.6 seconds @ 80.8 mph
1000' time - 12.19 sec at 95.2 mph
Peak horsepower - 307 HP

Just take to a real dyno. Costs maybe $50 for 3 pulls.

How does this work? How does it connect to your car? GPS? Wi-fi? You would need another piece of hardware then?

Built in accelerometers and user input (weight, etc) is my guess.

Yep. You have to input the car's weight for it to calculate your times correctly. I picked up the PocketDyno, which is FREE! Dynolicious costs now...

I just got this app today. What curb weight are you using? 3480 lbs is what I use plus my weight.

Does anyone know the drivetrain loss ratio for a 6MT?

Haha I just downloaded this on my iPhone and gave it a test run.

1/4 mile -- 14.4@101

It's a little off but I like the trap speed lol wish it was like that in real life!
